Summond by a dream

Every night at midnight the purple clouds came out to dance with the bluish sky. The ocean absorbed both colors as the waves crashed against the shore in a cobalt or sapphire hue. This was the wonder and magic of Cielo púrpura a little Island just off the coast of Puerto Rico. Kileshya stood watching the beautiful sight as the wind whipped her long flowing dress. Her journey to this place had begun a year ago when she began having the same dream at least twice a week.

She was always on a cliff looking out at a deep blue sky with purple clouds filling the atmosphere. She felt at peace and one with the ocean and suddenly she heard a church bell the chimes striking out the time. It was midnight and as soon as the twelfth chime was heard she always woke up. One day her young son Dante presented her with a picture he had drawn and she dropped her cup of tea. Her 6-year-old had given her an image of what was in her dream. She asked why he had drawn the image and colored it that way and he said he did not know.

A portrait beckons

A few days later she was on her lunch break walking from the coffee shop back to her office when she noticed someone setting a painting in the window of the antique's store. Kileshya stopped in her tracks and her blood ran cold. She was looking at a portrait of what she had been dreaming and what her son drew in his picture. She raced inside and inquired of the clerk who said the painting was donated by the family of a woman who had recently passed away. Kileysha purchased it and took it home to study it further.

The painting was named Cielo púrpura and when she looked she found out it was a little island off the coast of Puerto Rico which meant purple sky in Spanish. She immediately began making travel plans and two weeks later Dante was with her mom and dad and she was flying to the tropical destination. Once settled in her hotel room she counted the time until midnight and at 11:45 she went out onto the beach. It was a maginficant night with a warm breeze and she marveled when the sky began to turn a an amazing shade of blue just like the dream, Dante's picture and the portrait.

At long last

It happened slowly but seemed as if only in an instant the clouds began rolling in and were taking on a purpleish hue. They seemed to dance and take on shapes of elephants, puppies, clowns- it was so amazing. The wind sped up and the waves began moving near the shore. The water, wind, and clouds all seemd to be moving to the same rhythm of music only they could hear. Kileysha found herself swaying in rhythm with them and suddenly she actually began to hear a tune. She looked quickly around and she was alone on the beach and realized this special concert was for her benefit.

She was barefoot and walked to the water's edge allowing the foam to cover her feet and ankles. She swayed and moved in unisonwith the clouds and sea and it was exhilerating. This miracle lasted about six or seven minutes and suddenly there was silence. Kileshya turned slowly and began walking back to the hotel. She stopped for just a moment and looked back and it almost seemed that one cloud that was close to the earth reached out a hand and waved. There was no one to tell about this midnight moment when the purple clouds came out to dance with the blueish sky and the sapphire waves on Cielo púrpura the Island of the magneta sky and purple clouds.
