Chapter 6

"What business do you have here, boy? It is obvious you are not in solidarity with this meeting," the man dressed in black questioned loudly as a young boy stood before the altar.

"I don't give a crap about what you are doing. The only thing I want is my sister, Hafsa. Where is she?" The boy said, directing his attention to the commanding man.

"I am not certain who you are looking for here. You are mistaken, young man. Please go elsewhere to find your sister."

"She is definitely here without a doubt," the boy replied, "she had this shit in her room."

The boy raised his hand in the air, holding a blue book.

"This is your crap text. It's straight up propaganda. You are a fuxking cult."

The man in black raised his eyebrow before his expression collapsed into a knotted frown.

"You could not be anymore wrong. That text is the sacred text of Gorn. He has brought us many gifts that will move us to our next stage of existence. If your sister did read that text, she should be more enlightened."

The boy took the book in his hand and threw it at the man. In mid-air the book froze a meter before its target. After freezing in mid-air, the book fell to the floor with a loud clap.

The crowd of onlookers all frozen, waiting for a reaction between the two.

"Azure, what is going on in there? Did someone mention Gorn? Have the Duriams made an appearance?," Petal questioned Azure over the communicator.

Azure stared as the standoff between the two grew more tense.

"There is definitely something going on with the Kursiam here," he said, "Slowly come closer if you can. We may have to make a move if this situation escalates."

Petal nodded to Ghavi and replied,"Got it. Just try to stay neutral before we get there."

The crowd in the chapel slowly began to back away with some slipping out the exit. The man in black grew more annoyed with the boy's presence.

"If you refuse to leave, you will be forcibly removed." The priest raised his hand and signaled one if the other figures before him.

This assailant, dressed in a velvet cloak, stood before the boy. Standing in silence, the figure

slowly removed the hood on the velvet cloak. The boy standing before the altar gasped at what he saw.

"Hafsa!" The boy began to approach the stage again before the red cloak on the girl began to move. Slowly, slithering like a snake across the floor, the ends of the velvet cloak began to expand, quickly forming an overabundance of cloth separating the two.

The boy only starred as the velvet cloak continued to move, seemingly having a mind of its own. The girl raised both arms in the air, seeming to command the strange cloth around her.

"This is getting a little hairy now. See you when you get here, Petal," Azure quickly said over the communicator before leaping through the decrepit holes in the roof. He landed light in his feet right in front of the boy.

The crowd gasped as a man just seemed to appear from nowhere.

"Well, it seems another false angel has come to stop humanity's destiny from coming to fruition," the priest with short black hair said with even more annoyance.

"Cut the crap, you know this technology has no purpose being used for this cult or to be used as a weapon, " Azure retorted."Stop this act and give the location of Gorn."

The black hair priest's eyes grew wide. "Your words have no meaning here, false angel. We will fulfill the true world coming and become the angels we were meant to be. I, Welborne Stainer will see it through as that is my duty and destiny!."

Stainer lifted his hand to beckon the girl in red velvet behind him. Hafsa stepped forward, a blank expression spread across her face.

"Please stop this false angel from causing any damage," Stainer ordered. "Show him the strength we have given you, Marka."

"Hafsa!" The boy from before sprang to his feet. "Hafsa, is that my sister Hafsa doing this?!"

The girl did not flinch or make any movement. She only stood still, waiting for the next command from the priest dressed in black.

"Hafsa, please stop all of this! Why didn't you show yourself before? Let's please get out of this place and go home!" The boy tried to reason.

The girl stayed silent as her attention kept a clear focus on Azure.

"Hafsa, it's me, your brother, Amal!" Amal continued to persuade. "Don't tell me they did something to you Hafsa?"

Amal began to make his way to the front of the church.

"Stop!" Azure quickly interjected, She isn't listening to you and she is dangerous right now,

Amal scrunched his face. "Don't tell me what to do with my sister. All of you here, get away from her. I don't know what the hell you all did to her but she is coming home right now. "

As Amal continued to walk forward, he jumped in front of Amal.

"You don't understand. Your sister is under their control and she may try to kill you. Azure explained as he also kept his gaze on Marka.

Amal tried to sidestep around Azure but a sharp velvet-colored blade cracked like a whip at Amal's feet. He stopped in his tracks as a low growl began to emanate from Hafsa.

Amal, stunned, slowly looked forward to see four velvet blades begin to shape shift themselves from Marka's robe.

"What the hell is this," Amal said with his mouth ajar.

"This is what I was talking about," Azure retorted, "Stay behind me."

Marka kept her focus on Azure, waiting patiently for him to make any movement. Then as if becoming tired of waiting, the velvet blades plunged at Azure.

Amal gasped and looked away as he heard the sound of numerous objects clashing with what sounded like metal. He slowly opened his eyes to see Azure holding his palm forward, as if ordering the furious blades to halt.

The commotion continued. Amal took a closer look at what he could see as a clear, spherical shield surrounding the two of them. Something almost invisible was protecting them from the blades. With Azure's hand at the radius, he kept it still as the velvet blades continued to strike and whip the almost transparent shield to no avail.

Moment after moment, Azure tightened his fist, holding steady his position. Each strike continued to not cause him to flinch. He waited, as if watching for a moment for an opening. As the moments crept on, the attacker began to lose strength. Finally, the emotionless expression on the girl changed into a frown with gritted teeth. The attacker was clearly beginning to lose stamina.

Azure let out a loud yell. Standing tall with his shield in front of him, he pushed back onto the attack. The girl in red velvet, taken aback by his sudden response, looked bewildered.

As if pushing against a large rock, Azure used all of his might to swing his sword toward the girl. In a sharp buzzing sound, Azure made contact against the girl's body. Instead of slicing through her, the sword knocked her to the ground and dissipated into thin air.

The priest yelped as the girl in red velvet fell to the ground. Without hesitation, the priest signaled to the others in cloaks. The clocked assistants dashed toward the fallen girl, ferociously grabbing a hold of her.

"We can continue this with our leader. Follow us if you wish to see her. I'm sure you have a few questions you want to inquire about."

Grabbing the girl, the group of clocked individuals ran back toward the door from which they had emerged earlier.

"Wait, stop!" The boy tried to dash after the men only to be held back by Azure.

"Running into a trap is never a smart thing."

The remaining audience in the chapel were hurriedly dashing out of the doors. Once all of the audience had run out of the chapel, Petal and Ghavi entered into the large room.

"What happened?" Petal asked urgently.

Azure, holding the boy in one arm, pointed toward the door near the back of the altar.

"I think we found where our assailants with the T-brains have taken out technology."

"And who are you?" Petal asked, peering at the young, rebellious boy.
