Thousands merrily munched away, resting their wearisome selves on that dismal, cold, dark and damp day, nearing their journeys end.

Designed, built and reveled over by untold millions who frequented there since the close of the 1950s. Nobody gave a second thought that it would ever become the final resting place of so many unsuspecting commuters.

Until that fateful day sealed their fate forever.

Clangs of grinding writhing girders sustained unfathomable stress way too long, but for no longer. Illumination quashed, masonry chunks shattering around the squawking heads like headless chickens taking flight.

Eternal darkness encapsulated.

Emergency aid stood helpless.
