Cauzmantis paid a visit to the archers training barracks first thing. He whispered in the ears of the top leaders, and they all crowded in the small office.

When the doors were locked and windows shut, Cauzmantis began to speak freely.

He spoke to the leaders of the training barracks in a confident tone, and told them of his plans for kingdom wide improvements.

He told them that he would be back later that week to pick up a list of requirements the men would need to improve the training barracks.

He promised to purchase the items on the list, then he paused looked each man in the eyes and said

"remember the myth when making your list".

With that he left swiftly to attend to his lofty and large to do list.

After Cauzmantis left in his royal wagon officials of the king delivered large sacks of gold to the men present at the meeting.

The king's officials confirmed that the gold was for the men.

Cauzmantis had already begun feeling as if he had started a revolution.

As Himself and the Royal financer discussed funds, Cauzmantis could already see the grand new library in his mind.

By the end of the day he secured payment and assigned contracts for not only the grand library, but for the war room and the workshop.

Cauzmantis had "Remember the Myth" sealed on all documents that went out.

Cauzmantis felt that he had shifted the fate of his family all in one day.

On one hand he was right but on the other Cauzmantis Villinatus had his work cut out for him if he wished to improve his kingdom.

Cauzmantis had spent the entire day making decisions, assigning and signing contracts, and spending money. He felt so alive!

After his exhausting day , Cauzmantis still had one more thing to settle. This particular task had been giving the king nerves all day.

He finally approached Eve and showed her the letter he had stopped from being sent.

He promised Eve that there would be a grand event for Retta on her 27th birthday.

He also promised Eve that by that time he would have top notch suitors for Retta to pick from.

He asked Retta and Eve to spare no expense in preparing Retta to dazzle all and asked them to help him manage the reconstruction of the kingdom.

Finally he told both Retta and Eve how much he loved them and that he would be traveling and preparing untill the day of Retta's party.

He said goodnight to the women in his life and laid himself to rest.

The women wondered where Cauzmantis would have to travel to that would cause him to be absent from their lives for so long.

The next morning they got their answer at breakfast when Cauzmantis declared his plans for the day.

He announced that the training barracks were his first stop, then he would head to the stables, and finally before lunch he had a meeting with a blacksmith.

Cauzmantis had not said out loud that he would be going to battle but the way his days were to be consumed made Eve wonder what Cauzmantis was up to.

Eve continued to remember her husband's promise of viable suitors on Retta's birthday as she pondered what his plans were.

War and conquering always lead to power and good alliances, but Eve was concerned about Cauzmantis's age and just how long it had been since his last battle.

Cauzmantis prepared for a visit to the training barracks and he was excited to have put the wheels of destiny in motion.

Cauzmantis could smell it in the air. In his mind he thought within a week or two he would head out with men to chase the myth and his destiny.

After a disappointing few hours at the training barracks, Cauzmantis Villinatus hoped the horses were good enough to win him a war.

Cauzmantis had discovered that the men who had been called archers and swordsmen would need a miracle to be prepared for war.

Cauzmantis could not believe what his years of neglect and negligence had done. It would be unthinkable to Cauzmantis to lead those men to die. Any bandits with a few years experience would destroy his forces, Cauzmantis didn't even want to think about what enemy forces would do.

Cauzmantis sat in his comfortable chariot and his mind began to fill with doubt. In morning he was hoping to go to battle with enemies from far away, and now he wasn't certain his soldiers could handle the trip.

Combat ready in weeks he thought over and over, he might need an entire new army if he still wished to become more powerful.

As Cauzmantis began a pity party because he needed a miracle one showed up right in front of his carriage. A miracle in the form of a woman.

Her name was Lin

Lin; a woman of the great myth herself. Her family believed that a woman in their line would assist in the myth. Her family had been trained and educated for war for generations.

This generation it was Lin; who happened to be less then thrilled to have her entire childhood snatched in the name of family tradition.

Lin appeared to Cauzmantis , and she did not look happy.

"Old friend" said Villinatus with a large smile on his face. He invited her in for hug and was coldy denied.

"Save it" replied Lin as she pushed her athletic frame agilely through the doors of the carriage.

"Only the king" she snorted as the guards stepped away and began securing the area.

Cauzmantis Villinatus was taken aback by Lin's coldness. He also now wished he would've given Lin a heads up before changing the royal seal's message.

He straightened his back and entered his own carriage cautiously.

Lin spoke as soon as he entered.

"What is this? Huh? What is this!?" She inquired while pointing to the mention of remember the myth on the latest kingdom announcements.

"I..I meant to send-" Cauzmantis started before rudely being interrupted by Lin

"Don't. Just don't even start. I can't even began to hear your excuses. Not today. I'm here alright. I'm here."

"Lin , I am truly sorry" Cauzmantis spoke calmly with a tone of sincerity.

"Well that's a start" Lin looked around before speaking again.

" Well like I said.I'm here I'm back again here in this outlandish, oversized pompous carriage. With so many new changes coming I'm surprised you couldn't commit to a more humble and practical means of transportation."

Cauzmantis replied "Its nice to see you again Lin, you look great"

"You don't look so bad yourself, I see your beard has finally grown in"

Lin mentioned with a sly smile.

The two friends laughed and joked and exchanged stories of the past with one another. Lin had been sworn to protect the King in case he were to be the fulfiller of the myth.

The entire family was scattered around the guard and keep but Lin, had a special duty which was to be beside the king and ultimately battle with him to bring glory to the CauZ.

Lin had always believed that the myth was exaggerated at best and completely made up at worse.

Nonetheless as the only non believer in the family Lin was never able to fully separate herself from her duty.

When the king printed the secret communication of remember the myth Lin's family urged her to be by the king's side.

After a long conversation of catching up with one another

Cauzmantis Villinatus finally revealed his plans.

Cauzmantis invited Lin to help...
