Cauzmantis Villinatus III

Cauzmantis invited Lin to engage in a battle tour and help him try to chase the Myth. Maybe in the end even unite the entire Cauzmic Land, under Cauz.

Lin needed a decent amount of convincing because her focus was on his army's abilities or lack of. Lin continued to try to make Cauzmantis Villinatus change his mind. But finally Lin got a bit tired. She saw Cauzmantis in his gear, his long heathy dreads,his full beard, and became infatuated with the possibilities. For the first time in a long long time Lin had a spark of faith in the myth of old. She told Cauzmantis that she'd like to personally train and decided who would move on from training. She knew Cauzmantis's poorly skilled armies would need a miracle to be battle ready. But Lin had believed in the myth, seemingly enough to die for it.

Cauzmantis himself engaged in rigorous battle training along side many new recruits. Lin's family was able to provide troops but were cautious with the numbers of men and women they sent. It seemed that even the myth's most faithful believers had some doubts about King Cauzmantis's ambitions. After almost an entire month of training by Lin and begging by King Cauzmantis, the troops set a date for departure.

Eve had already been overseeing the reconstructions while Cauzmantis had been spending his days at the barracks. Eve ensured Cauzmantis that she and Retta would assume responsibility for the kingdom in his absence. Cauzmantis's reign would be remembered and at the start of his journey he was going to be remembered for his choice to leave the kingdom in the hands of his wife and daughter.

Construction continued as Cauzmantis, Lin, and their very brave troops headed out to chase the myth. Cauzmantis's imagination and leadership skills were helping him to lead his troops. As the solider spirits remained high the king prepared himself for the begining of a special journey. Deep in his gut he hoped it would not be his last journey, he wished to return to Retta and Eve victorious. Cauzmantis had made choices and taken action and by doing so stepped out of the neutral zone.

Only time would tell if Cauzmantis was a great king or a bad king, but the chances of being neutral forever left as Cauzmantis left the kingdom walls with Lin and their troops.

The List

There were several immediate ramifications of Cauzmantis's sudden surge of ambition. After assigning contracts for the kingdoms reconstruction, workers flooded the kingdom in massive numbers(Hundreds). Within weeks of changing the seal to remember the myth his troops grew triple the size. The food became less and less abundant. The slight relief came when Cauzmantis and his troops went off. The people in the Kingdom were very happy, the improvements, the sight of workers building , and the large army gave the folk new energy. The people were optimistic.

Cauzmantis Villinatus and Lin travelled with an army that had improved drastically. The unit's attacks had become much stronger and faster. After traveling for several miles Cauzmantis came across a large and active village. It seemed like a military village of sorts with several trained guards and swordsmen stationed around the village.

Cauzmantis stopped his troops and insisted that he and Lin would approach alone. The troops anxiously awaited with their commanders while Lin and Cauzmantis advanced. When the two were out of ear shot of the others Cauzmantis quietly questioned Lin.

" Have the efforts of the society gotten this large and sophisticated? Is this still a post for myth believers?"

Lin replied with a few words

" Things have picked up since you changed the seal."

The two continued to advance as Cauzmantis was blown away by the efforts he witnessed unfolding on his behalf. Lin exchanged words with a guard who then immediately bowed to the great king of the myth chosen one of CauZ. Lin's eyes noticeably rolled as Cauzmantis strolled through the gates of the large society. They call themselves believers and protectors of the myth; they live and work together near and far from the kingdom to prepare for the myth. Lin became irritable with they way Cauzmantis began to mishandle his star power. Shaking hands of several older long term believers saying things like remember the myth. Lin shouted to be taken to Amelia immediately, to save herself from illness.

Lin could not fathom where Cauzmantis developed the courage to carry himself as some savior. It surely was not rooted in any reality that Lin could perceive. Lin knew Cauzmantis Villinatus well better almost then he knew himself, because it was Lin who was repeatedly almost murder during young Cauzmantis's rise to power.

His way of getting around several people who think he's a God and making rash choices to appease them was the way all of Lin's scars started. Lin's resentment towards Cauzmantis, her family, and the myth were boiling as the two waited for Amelia.

"Just let me do all the talking"

Lin shouted harshly to Cauzmantis.

Cauzmantis could feel her hostility and decided to withhold his comments. Cauzmantis had always found his relationship with Lin odd. Lin was born to a similar fate as Cauzmantis and yet Lin acted like he was an enemy to her. When Cauzmantis was a boy and Lin a girl they had been thrusted under the pressure of taking the throne and kingdom. It was a event that was destined by the stars; what the elders call the highest command. Cauzmantis Villinatus at 18 felt he would die trying to appease the first step of the myth.

Lin's family was the only family he had ever known to show him kindness. Her mother and father protected Cauzmantis from being killed from the moment he turned 18 untill he conquered the kingdom. Lin escorted the king and an army once before under much different circumstances. Just as Cauzmantis pondered on the complexities of Lin, Amelia burst through the door and floated over to Cauzmantis and Lin. She gave a sweet courtesy to the king and began to open her arms for an embrace with Lin.

Lin coldly rejected Amelia's hug and spoke to Amelia with an undertone of malice.

" We'll take the list now"

Amelia gasped and began to speak but she couldn't get a word out before Lin spoke over her.

"We'll take the list now!"

This time Lin was a bit louder and her tone much more assertive.
