Call for action and peace
Call for action and peace

One morning, Earth woke up feeling exhausted. “I’m tired of all this!” it sighed. “Every day, people argue about the silliest things!” Why does nobody care for each other and me?
Earth looked around and felt a heavy heart. In North America, cities are covered in smog, and the air is hard to breathe. People rushed by, some wearing masks, but many didn’t seem to notice the problem. “I wish they could see how beautiful nature can be if they just took a moment to care. Earth moaned. In South America, vast rainforests are being cut down for farming and development. Earth watched as animals lost their homes and cried out for help. “These forests are precious,” she thought. “If only people understood their importance, they would protect them!”
In Europe, leaders held endless meetings about climate change, but nothing seemed to get done. Earth noticed people arguing about solutions instead of working together. “Why can’t they just unite for the planet?” she wondered. “We all share this home!” In Africa, many communities struggle to find clean water. Earth felt the pain of families walking long distances to fetch water each day. “Water is life,” she thought. “I wish everyone could have access to it easily.”
In Asia, cities are bursting at the seams. People are living in crowded conditions, struggling to find space and resources. Earth observed the stress on communities and thought, “I want to provide more space for everyone to thrive.”She saw how each continent was struggling with its challenges. Feeling overwhelmed by the sadness, Earth made a wish. “I want to inspire change,” she said softly. “I want to show everyone how to care for each other and me. Together, we can make this a better place to live!”
With that thought, Earth sent a gentle breeze. She calls up a meeting on social media to discuss the problems and their solutions.
It was a Sunday morning Esa was at his breakfast table. His phone buzzed, pulling him from his thoughts. Opening social media, he scrolled through a feed filled with the usual memes and news. But then, something caught his eye: a post from Earth itself.
He reads, “Our planet is at an alarming rate! To combat climate change, we need to reduce carbon emissions and transition to renewable energy sources. Let’s make sustainable choices together! What are your thoughts? Esa paused, reading the comments on that post.
Wali: Every small step counts—like using public transport or biking. Let’s organize community clean-up days! Another comment by EcoWarrior caught his sight. “How about starting a local solar panel initiative? We can make it a community project!”
He felt a spark of inspiration ignite within him. He had always cared about the environment, but life had swept him along in a current of routine. Today was different. He decided he would take action. After a quick breakfast, he grabbed his backpack and headed out to the local park with a few garbage bags. While picking up litter, he pulled out his phone and posted a photo of the overflowing bags beside him.
He posted that photo along with the caption, “Just finished cleaning up the park! Let’s take care of our Earth together! Who wants to join me for a clean-up next weekend?”
His post quickly gained traction. He got positive responses from the audience. Some said that Well done Esa! Few agreed to join him next weekend. Feeling motivated, Esa decided to check back in on Earth’s page. Another post has appeared. This time earth’s post mentioned: “Plastic waste is choking our oceans! To tackle this, we can promote recycling and support clean-up efforts. Who’s with me?”
He smiled as he read the supportive comments. Inspired by the community's enthusiasm, he too felt a renewed sense of hope. He knew he wanted to be part of this movement, so he shared a comment.
“I’m all for it! Let’s combine our efforts and make a difference. He continued to support Earth’s initiatives.
Another week passed. One evening, Esa logged onto social media again, eager to check the latest updates. To his dismay, he found a post mocking his clean-up efforts. A trollmaster commented that: “Why bother? Picking up trash won’t change anything!
Another commented, “You think picking up a few pieces of plastic makes a difference? Just enjoy your coffee and let the real world handle itself!”
Esa felt a mix of frustration and sadness. It was disheartening to see this behavior of people but he decided to confront the negativity with positivity. Before he could put his phone down, he noticed yet another post from Earth. This time the earth was concerned about forests.
Earth: “Forests are disappearing at an alarming rate! To protect our trees, we must support reforestation projects. What ideas do you have?”
Again he saw some positive compliments like: “Let’s plant trees!. While a kindergarten school teacher commented: "We should partner with local schools to educate kids about the importance of trees!”. He quickly typed a response, excitement coursing through him. “Count me in for the planting event! Let’s get our community involved!”
As he put down his phone, a sense of purpose washed over him. He felt that some people are determined to belittle the efforts and many others are willing to stand up against the negativity. He realized that change is possible—not just for the planet, but for himself. With every small action, he was becoming part of something much larger.
After cleaning up the planet, Earth felt refreshed. Nature was beautiful again, but there was still a concern. How to promote peace among everyone? It was time to share a gentle message.
Earth: “Now that our planet is clean, let’s also bring back harmony among ourselves. Imagine how beautiful it will be if we solve problems with words instead of weapons. As a peaceful mind leads to a peaceful world. Let’s celebrate the differences and build bridges instead of walls.”
Esa started reading the comments below this call for peace. But then, something caught his eye again. Some realistic person commented: “I appreciate the idea of unity, but history shows that people are often selfish. Peaceful resolutions sound great, but they rarely work when it comes to real conflicts. What happens when someone refuses to listen?”
Another said “While I admire the vision of unity, we must remember that not everyone shares that dream. Peaceful talks can sound nice, but they often fade when faced with stubbornness. What happens when voices clash instead of connect?”
Esa is lost in his thoughts again. This all sounds nice, but can words really change anything? By shrugging his shoulders he said to himself that yes! Every Small step counts. He shared a post that said, "Just like we cleaned our planet, we can also clean our hearts and minds.”Let’s show that positivity can win!”
The conversation shifted as more people joined in, sharing their own stories of change. The posts struck a chord with many, and soon, people started to feel empowered by the idea of living peacefully together. In homes and cafes, people talked about the ideas shared online. They felt inspired, believing that peaceful living was possible. The buzz of change was in the air.
Earth knows that its message has been heard and is making a real impact. The community was coming together, committing to choose peace over conflict.
Finally, the day came Earth gazed at her inhabitants through the glow of their screens, feeling a wave of joy wash over her. As the laughter and connections filled her feed, Earth couldn’t help but smile. “Looking at them, the way they are sharing ideas for a better world,” she said with a wink. “Maybe I’ll just sit back and watch them argue about who cleaned up the best while I take a nap.”
And so, with her heart lightened and spirits lifted, Earth settled into a comfy cloud. She closed her eyes, ready to dream of a brighter future, all while chuckling at the delightful chaos of humanity. The world might be messy, but it was also full of love, laughter, and the promise of change.
Every shared idea is a step toward a world reborn in love.
