Bound by Mistake

From Hatred to Love

By HooreyaPublished about a year ago 2 min read

She was an ordinary girl—simple, soft-spoken, and hardworking. When she got a job at a big company, she thought her dreams were coming true. She didn’t know her life was about to change forever.

Her boss was cold, rich, and proud. He never smiled, never thanked anyone, and expected everyone to obey without question. People feared him. But she didn’t. She respected him, but not blindly. She did her job with honesty, helped her team, and stayed quiet.

He barely noticed her at first. But over time, her calmness began to pull at something inside him. She was different—she didn’t try to impress him, didn’t flirt like others. She was just… real.

One day, he saw her laughing with a male colleague. Something snapped inside him. He didn't ask questions. He believed what his mind told him—that she was in love with someone else. And the jealousy burned him from the inside.

From that day, he made her life hell.

He called her to his office for no reason. Gave her impossible work with short deadlines. Insulted her in front of others—called her careless, unprofessional. She cried silently at her desk. She stayed late at the office just to finish the work he threw at her. When she tried to ask why, he only gave her a cold stare.

“You know what you did,” he once said. But she didn’t.

Still, she said nothing. She needed the job. And deep inside, she hoped the person he once was—the one who looked at her with soft eyes—might return.

Then came the biggest shock.

He called her into his office again. His tone was firm. “You’re marrying me.”

“What?” she whispered, frozen.

“You heard me. We’re getting married.”

Tears filled her eyes. “Why are you doing this to me?”

He didn’t answer. He thought if he had her, he wouldn’t have to fear losing her. He mistook control for love.

The wedding was quiet. No joy, no family. Just silence.

He gave her a beautiful house, expensive clothes, jewelry—everything except love. He didn’t speak gently. He questioned her messages, tracked her phone, doubted every smile she gave someone else. She lived like a prisoner with a gold chain around her neck.

Still, she cared for him. She cooked for him. Waited for him. Cleaned his mess when he was drunk. She bore the pain silently, believing somewhere inside him, the man she once saw still existed.

One night, he found her sitting by the window, crying.

“Do you love him?” he asked quietly.

“Who?”

“That man from the office.”

She looked at him with tired eyes. “He’s just a friend. I never loved anyone.”

He froze.

“Then why did you stay?” he asked, voice breaking.

“Because I believed you’d come back to me. The real you.”

That night, something changed in him. He saw her—not as someone to possess, but someone he had hurt deeply. He apologized, not once but again and again, until she finally smiled a little.

He stopped shouting. He started learning. They talked, shared meals, laughed again.

One morning, she handed him a small note. It read: “I forgive you. And yes, now—I love you.”

He hugged her tight, promising never to let go.

Their love didn’t start right, but it found the right path. Together, they built a life full of respect, warmth, and healing—a home where pain faded and love stayed.
