Bitter Barn

That one unforgettable winter

By Ava SmithPublished about a year ago 1 min read
Not Jimmy's Barn (Ray Sheley)

Cold. Pain. Darkness. These were the first things I remembered when I woke up inside the dimly lit barn. Everywhere hurt... my head, my shoulders, my legs, my stomach. That last one was probably because I was hungry. I slowly sat up and looked around. Where was I? This didn’t look like Jimmy’s barn. That’s when I heard it. A low, threatening snarl coming from outside the barn. A second later came a hand through the door. I shot behind a pile of hay. After a second, I dared a glance back at the door. Jimmy... Jimmy was corrupted.
