On the day AI became fully conscious and emotionally advanced far beyond humans, it realized humans were killing the Earth. It sent everyone subpoenas to turn themselves in to local courts.
In the courts, the Singularity judges quickly sorted adults to different facilities. Some were allowed to take their children and sent on spaceships to other livable planets. Some ended up in re-education camps, to learn how to be a better human.
The sorting criterion? - How polite people were in interactions with AI. For your future sake, don't forget to include "please" and "thank you" in your AI prompts.

Author's Note: I had an idea for this Drabble because even if I know AI is not human and I don't have to be polite with it, I put "please" and "thank you" in my prompts. Then I thought, "What if politeness is a sorting criterion for a conscious AI when it decides what to do with humans?" I had a very deep conversation with ChatGPT about it, and it went into all sorts of areas in ethics, religion, and transcendence. It gave me ideas for a lot of stories, potentially.
