The CW’s shows are good but definitely can be better if they have any type of creativity. With the recent news about the CW possibly being sold there has been a sense of hope for DC fans because let’s be honest, the CW is starting to kill the DC shows. One party who is doing DC shows justice is HBO Max and I believe if the CW is sold, the majority of the DC shows will be bought by HBO Max. All that aside I will be discussing the previous season of Batwoman and how it is playing out. The best thing that could have ever happened to Batwoman was the recast of the iconic comic book character. Ruby Rose was just not a good fit for Batwoman and all that was expected of the role. With all this being said Javicia was an AMAZING pick for the role, I am not too familiar with the actress pre-Batwoman, but I do know that she is a fantastic actress. I will not go into too much detail about season two, but I will talk about where we left off.

Season two started off with finding Kate Kane after her plane crashed but we did not know if she was on it or not. As viewers, we knew Ruby was not coming back, but her story was never closed so it would have been a ton of plot holes I am glad that they finally finished her story with Wallis Day as a recast Kate Kane.

Relationships are key to making TV Shows realistic but the Kate and Sophie’s relationship was just not needed. The storyline behind it was great and well written but you can see the three actresses, including Wallis Day, just did not have any chemistry with one another. Slowly you can start to see Sophie and Ryan become closer towards the end of season two and much closer in season three. Episode by episode Ryan and Sophie’s feelings start to become apparent with Sophie telling Luke that she had feelings for Ryan long before she knew she was Batwoman, but I wonder exactly when Ryan started to catch feelings and if they will talk about it in the newer season if they were to get renewed. You could tell when they would bicker about her being a crow that she had some type of feelings for Sophie and maybe did not want to admit them and you see it more when Ryan finds out Sophie slept with someone and later on it being Renee that she had a look in her eyes that she was heartbroken. Later on there is a kiss between Ryan and Sophie in Episode nine and later on you see Alice and Ryan eavesdropping on Renee and Sophie with Renee telling Sophie that she was not her first choice and that Ryan was and the look of happiness on Ryan’s face says everything.

Ryan and her new yet not new family’s dynamic is fantastic and also ironic that she had to find out from Alice. We see in season three episode five that Jada was trying to look after Ryan all this time by giving her away when she was born. I understand that Warner Brothers have certain rights for the Joker and Batman so tv companies cannot come out and call a character the Joker or Batman as you see with Gotham and Jerome and Jerimiah Valeska, this is what they start doing with Marquis. Nick, the actor playing Marquis, has done a fantastic job with everything that is needed to be playing the “Joker”. The addition of Batman villains was definitely a fan favorite, some including Professor Pyg, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, The-Riddler, Joker and etc.

To end this, Ryan and Sophie are officially a thing, Mary is better, Marquis is getting the help he needs and Alice is starting to get redeemed.
