Tranquility is hidden away in the wilderness. It can be found on dusty dirt trails, under gently swaying branches of willow trees, and it is in the cool, steady-flowing rivers. Serenity drifts on the ridge-top breeze, and in the calming scent of pine groves.

Harmony is laced in the sound waves of buzzing bees, the late evening call of whip-poor-wills, and the deep rumble of thunder. Calm can be found in the soothing touch of soft green moss, and in gritty sand between your toes. Spiritual healing shimmers down in rays from the sun, reaching and stretching into darkness.

I am in awe of creation, a sky painted in pink, fog settled over still water on a cool morning, the sun slowly rising. Peace is in every sunrise and sunset, in still waters and raging storms. Gazing upon constellations distracts the mind and calms the soul.

When I am stressed, overwhelmed, and at my limit, I baptize myself in nature. I cleanse my soul in the wild. I heal my spirit in the deepest hollows. I ground myself in the strength and beauty of the earth. I absorb its steady, pulsing energy, and then step back into life recharged and at peace.
