Book Burning: Death to Grammar Books
Today I did something that Hitler would have liked, I burned books; but not just any books: grammar books. Lol

I will them the ashes as fertilizer for my yard. Why?
When I first started to teach writing, we were told to teach grammar; I did and the only one whose grammar improved was mine. Indeed, I taught a class on Grammar for graduate TESL students. I have a PhD in TESL and Technical Writing.
Some of my students made perfect scores on their grammar tests but were terrible writers. Case in point, international students had a problem writing in English, just like I did, but they did well in grammar test. English is my second language, I think in Korean and Spanish and prefer to read in Spanish, for I have a BA in it and was going to be a teaching.
To repeat, my PhD was in ESL or English as a Second Language.
Grammar does not improve writing because studies have proved it. Read more to be a better writer.
AMEN
