"Where's some grub when you need it?" The pike coasted along the bottom of the lake floor.

"There's always food if you know where to find it." A sturgeon next to it started to stir up silt on the lakebed.

"Ugh, we eat very different things. Obviously..."

"Yeah, but if you ate what I ate you'd get as big as me, and covered in thicker armor too."

As the sturgeon moved, something up off the bottom quickly and reared its neck around, snatching up the log sized, armored, fish.

"Your armor can't protect you from that." The pike swam away.
