Officially ending their marriage in less than three months after their separation.

According to documents obtained by Us Weekly, the couple settled their divorce on October 6. As part of their prenuptial agreement, Gomez will receive $1,250,000 tax-free and half of the net proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home. Additionally, Grande will cover up to $25,000 of Gomez's attorney's fees. There will be no spousal support.

Grande, a singer, and Gomez, a realtor, went public with their relationship in February 2020 and quietly tied the knot in May 2021. Us Weekly confirmed in July that the couple had been having issues for several months. These problems intensified when Grande left for London to film Wicked, and the distance between them made it difficult to resolve their conflicts. They ceased speaking to each other.

Two months later, Grande filed for divorce, citing February 20 as the date of their separation.

Although Gomez expressed a desire to reconcile with Grande after news of their split broke, she had already moved on with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater. In July, an insider shared that Slater's estranged wife, Lilly Jay, was taken aback by the end of their marriage. However, another source maintained that Grande and Slater had already separated from their respective spouses before they started dating.

Shortly after news of Slater's romance with Grande became public, he filed for divorce from Jay, whom he had married in 2018 and had a child with in 2022. Jay criticized Grande in an interview with Page Six, stating that Ariana was the main focus of the story and that her family had been negatively affected.

Amidst the drama, an insider revealed that Grande had been advised to take things slower and avoid going public with her relationship with Slater. In August, a source told Us Weekly that she was conscious of how her fans perceived her and was attempting to handle the situation maturely. However, if it were entirely up to her, she would be seen with Slater immediately.

Gomez, on the other hand, never anticipated having his divorce play out in the public eye. Nevertheless, with the support of his loved ones, he is coping with the situation. According to a source in August, it had been some time since Ariana and Dalton split, and he was gradually adjusting to his new reality, accepting it despite his initial expectation that they would be together forever.

The following month, Grande and Slater were seen on a date at Disneyland, and an insider revealed that the two were extremely happy.
