"Move on, move on down the road." Anne was singing. Lost in her own world. She was on the way to her grandmother's house. She danced and sang as she walked. She was wearing the spring outfit that her Nana had given her for Christmas. She was very excited to be seeing her grandma. And couldn't wait to show her the outfit.

The park was almost empty. There were two dogs playing while their master slept. So she was surprised when suddenly there was a strange man dancing and singing with her. He made Anne laugh. He was a good dancer, and his voice was okay. He was dressed oddly. But now a days who wasn't. She could tell he was a guy. She was having such a good time dancing with him that she even told him where she was going. She said goodbye and removing him from her thoughts she continued on her way. She was in no hurry, more preoccupied with the music than time. She was moving on down the road.

The door was open when she arrived at the house. "Nana" she yelled, as she entered the living room. She was was surprised when she got no response. She was also slightly scared. She quickly ran to the bathroom, to see if her Nana had fallen. The kitchen was also empty. But a half eaten egg salad sandwich and a cold coffee where sitting on the kitchen table. She knew her Nana wouldn't have voluntarily abandoned her meal. Something out of the ordinary had happened. Did she feel faint and lie down. Anne heard a groan coming from the bedroom. She rushed in, now more than slightly worried.

In her nana's sleigh bed lay a shape. A shape which appeared more muscular and masculine than she pictured her Nana. She felt very confused. How could it be someone other than her grandmother? Timidly she approached. She then said "Nana what masculine eyes you have". The shape replied. "The better to see your beauty with." Anne then said, "Nana what masculine ears you have." The shape replied. " The better to hear the sweetness of your singing ." Anne felt stunned. She could not comprehend her current reality. She felt powerless. She stood still. not knowing what to do next.

Suddenly her trance was broken, by a knock on the front door. She composed herself and calmly said "Nana I will be right back". She tried to stay calm and not run from the room. She didn't know how to react when she opened the door and saw a policeman. She was both releived and scared. Honestly she felt like crying and falling into his arms. But she held her head up high, like her family had taught her. The policeman told her to stay there in the front room. He said she was in danger, and that her grandmother was safe and out in the police car. The imposter had hidden her in the coat closet. While he lay in the bed the police had snuck into the house and got her out. Anne was shaking slightly. She was shocked when out of the bedroom came her dance partner. He was dressed in one of her Nana's night dresses. He did not fight back, he hung his head in despair, and quietly was lead out in handcuffs.

Anna couldn't help wondering what was the point. Why hadn't he just attacked her in the almost empty park. The police had been watching him. She went and got her Nana out of the undercover car. They both hugged each other and cried .
