Please, please, please. She repeated rapidly inside her head. Her frantic breathing increased with her beating heart.
“Please,” she muttered as she lightly tugged the sleeve of his shirt. He looked down at her, his neutral expression slowly shifting into a soft smile. He stepped closer to her, closing the small gap between them. He laid one hand on top of hers, while the other cupped her face.
“It’s okay,” He responded as he rested his forehead against hers. “I’m here… always.”
