Algorithmic Waves (Part 8)
Hatfield’s neighbors wonder what’s going on in his house.
Code is everywhere. The doorbell chimed and a knock came to the door. Hatfield looked up and walked to the bathroom. He washed his hands. He looked at himself in the mirror and saw the screen and then his own face.
“Hi.”
“What’s happening? Is everything okay?” Mrs. Korlin asked. She was inquisitive but had not called the cops or anyone.
“It’s fine. I’m fine. Everything’s alright. I’m just working on a project for work.”
He had not lied. He had every intention to bring the machine to his workplace for further inspection.
“Thanks again for your sincere, thoughtful concern.”
