The sun began it’s descent behind the mountains of Hakamesh, and a cool wind drifted in as the door to her chamber was carefully opened. The red curtain shifted slightly as her attendant stood near her bed, reluctant to wake his mistress. She slowly rolled over, eyeing him through the curtain. “The Pharaoh is requesting to see you,” the attendant said softly. She sat up in her bed and unhurriedly moved back the curtain. The attendant had seen her like this many times before, and could never get used to the beauty of his master. She stood before him, her pale figure seemed to shine in the setting sun, and her long red hair clung to the curves of her physique. “Very well,” she hissed, “Now leave me.” The attendant took one last long look at her bare form before turning and removing himself from the chamber.

The festive atmosphere of the Pharaoh’s hall quickly vanished as Kasva entered, as if the night itself followed in her wake. She approached the throne, uncontested by the guards that stood nearby. Without kneeling she spoke, “You have called for me?” “Yes,” the pharaoh replied, “I had need of talents yet again,” he said with a smile. “And my payment,” Kasva asked? The pharaoh stood and walked to her, he leaned his face close to her ear and whispered, “Your payment shall be as always. You may keep five of my subjects to do with as you please, and of course your normal sum of gold,” he leaned back from her ear and smirked, “That I will double on one condition.” The slender king explained his condition and Kasva’s eyes flared. “I will meet your request, my lord,” she turned and chuckled as she flounced from the hall.

She entered the mild darkness of her chambers, and sensing their controller’s presence, numerous fiends of the earth and the air came to greet her. “Yes, come to me,” her mind called to them. Kasva, the huntress of the night, the revenant, the nemesis; all phrases commonly used by those who have been affected by her distinctive aptitudes. She brought her hands together in front of her face, and her body flashed, a violent burst of blood erupted from her as the beasts where made a part of her. She steadied herself from the effect of her spell work and felt the energy and power of the beasts she had assimilated course through her body as the blood returned to her veins. She neared a small portal in the wall of the chamber, “I am leaving,” her mind called to wall. At her beckoning the wall trembled slightly then split, hundreds of jagged, razor sharp teeth gleamed in the moonlight as the wall parted, opening the chamber to the cool night air. The screech of another beast could be heard in the distance, it had heard its master’s call. The winged serpent stopped before kasva, its wings tattered from its journey from the underworld, and venom seethed from the barb at the end of its tail. She climbed on the beast’s back, feeling its joy as it threw back its wings eager, longing for the night’s hunt.

High above the clouds the creature's ill shrill pierced the darkness. It's eyes searched the darkness for prey. "You can have them when I am finished," Kasva's mind told it.

The village could be seen below. The beast twirled and dove towards the ground, landing on a cliff overlooking the collection of stone homes. Kasva climbed down from it's back. "Feed well," she told it before pulling the hood over head. She took notice of a young man approaching the well near the center of the village. Her form disappeared as she glided down from the hillside.
