Genevieve Randall was in a panic. A walk to a nearby park with her 8-year-old daughter, Catie, ended with the pair running in fear of for their lives. A mysterious man was tracking the duo, with Genevieve appearing to be more in fear than Catie was. As they appeared to be completely losing their pursuer, the pair found themselves surrounded by onlookers, with Genevieve urging them to move out of their way.

The group refused to budge, making Genevieve appear more erratic with each plea. Finally, Genevieve heard the pursuer utter words she had dreaded for nearly eight years:

"Genevieve Randall, you're under arrest for the abduction of Sylvie Prescott."

Sylvie Prescott was Catie's real name, and she was the daughter of Colette Prescott, Genevieve's romantic rival. An obsession with one-upping Colette led Genevieve, who was single, to resort to IVF to become pregnant, but a miscarriage after eight months drove her to insanity. Genevieve stalked and later abducted Colette, forcing her to give birth before killing her. She raised "Catie" for eight years. She really thought she won it all. But thanks to a mix of DNA evidence and Colette's husband's determination, Genevieve's heinous heist was all for naught.

Ain't it something when karma comes a knockin'. I really enjoyed this. It's something that could easily be expanded into a much longer story or a screenplay (I could seriously see myself watching this unfold as a movie). Well done! 😁

This reminded me of that one commercial about citizens tracking down a kidnapper thanks to an amber alert or something like that. Poor Sylvie though, her world's being turn upside down.
