A Stupid Decision

Anger --> Fear

By Mark (Mitch) WeilPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Cutler felt his stomach drop, the same as when he swung too high while jumping off the swing set at the park, and a wave of dizziness passed through him. He braced himself against his bedpost, and looked around frantically for somewhere to hide in the small bedroom space. What a stupid decision.

Why had he done it? It’s not like it had helped things at all. Cutler’s anger had stayed white-hot immediately afterwards, until it melted quickly into the paralyzing fear that he was currently experiencing after hearing his mother shout: “DID YOU JUST SLAM THAT DOOR YOUNG MAN?!”
