"I hate this!"

Morgan stomped after her parents, her boots kicking at the trail.

"I told you! I just want to stay home!"

Her parents trudged silently ahead of her.

They must regret bringing me here. Morgan thought. Stupid mountain-

Her parents stopped suddenly.

"Come." They took her by the hand.

"I don't want to-"

"Look."

The forest fell away in a riot of colour. Pinks, purples, fushias, and whites. The wind swirled, dusting petals across the clear blue sky.

Morgan gasped in wonder.

Hours later, she was the last to leave.
