Many twentieth-first century children who I had no influence in creating know about the party-political myths on the island paved with gold despite claiming bankruptcy trying to stay financially alive. A French artistic illuminated statuesque light house figure standing proud in the waterway offered a guiding path for those lost individuals needing a boost. And this unbelievable statement energized the landmark inhabitants' attitudes.

Haunted by a barking German Shepherd not getting any sleep an elephant packed his trunk and headed out his studio door on fifty fourth street. Since the concrete jungle never slept there was always something happening, and the elephant proceeded downtown and discovered a friendly donkey coming off a high kicking performance.

Sitting in an all-night café the theatrical performer drank a beer created by her brother and enjoyed a bowl full of peanuts. “Can I join you in nutcracking?” The elephant inquired sticking his long nose into the evening ritual.

“Sure,” the donkey replied, “I am just soothing my soar deep throat, been singing all night creating a demo tape.”

“A demo tape, wow,” the elephant was impressed, “I did act once decades ago.”

“What type of role?”

“A dying Irish Catholic football player.”

Feeling heat come on the donkey took a swig and stood up, “Oh I got a late one tonight, belting out happy birthday to American royalty.”

“Can I have the rest of your peanuts?

“Sure,” the donkey grabbed her gear and disappeared into the dark.

Sitting there patiently watching taxis drive by the elephant pondered global economic theories, “I have something in common with that donkey, we both love being on stage.”

When all the shells hit the floor, the elephant decided to head back home and upon arrival threw the German Shepherd a bone. “That will keep him quiet,” he said going up the elevator lift.

Early the next morning the elephant rose to monitor the morning news programs and a report stated the donkey serenaded a young affluent on his special day.”

“Boy that donkey parties like a rock star,” the elephant thought checking his social book seeing what celebrities he knows, “oh yeah here is one, she may even read my palms.”
