Even when all the people who was support her, love her, never cared for her, she stayed strong. She begged for attention from her family till she was 15. When she turned 16 she understood that she did not deserve to beg for attention. Arcana started doing part-time jobs so that she does not have to bother her family anymore. She went to universities and studied hard to achieve her goals. But nothing changed with her family.

Her family and some other people leaving in their neighborhood disliked her, but the rest of the world loved her. Arcana had a best friend, Iris. Iris helped Arcana during her difficult moments. Iris and Arcana went to the same university. Iris's parents loved Arcana as their own daughter. Arcana also felt the love of a parents from them.

Kai and Eva were studying in the same university as Arcana. They both were in their fourth year while Arcana is in the first year. Her siblings were quite famous in the university because of their rich background, on the other hand Arcana did not even say that they were her siblings. She lived alone and did not tell anyone about her family except Iris and her family. Arcana had bullies in the university, but she was least bothered.

One day she returned from her university as usual, that was the day she was turning 20. She went to a old village for a change of surroundings. She was roaming through the streets when an old lady called her. Arcana had not seen the lady before, but she decided to go to her. Arcana never knew that she was going to get the answer to the biggest question of her life. The lady made Arcana sit with her inside her small hut. The lady asked her, do you know me? No, Arcana said. I have seen you before, your green eyes makes it clear.

The lady started talking further. Your parents were happy to have you, your siblings were on the clouds when they first saw you. But that happiness did not last long, we found out the light from the statue of the goddess that we worshiped disappeared. The village chief said that it was a sign of a very bad luck. Your parents felt sad and thought you were a curse, your siblings were forced to keep distance from you. That's said, how are things with your family now? It's good, Arcana said. Arcana then bid the old lady good bye and started walking again. She walked out of the village.

It started to rain. She walked in the rain, thinking about all the things that the old lady had said. She just could not digest the fact that her parents hated her for 20 years, as they thought of her as a curse. She reached her house. She laid on the bed when she heard a notification from her phone. She opened her phone and her lips made a smile, it was a video message from Iris and her family, giving birthday wishes.

She slept unknowingly thinking about everything. When it was half past eleven, she got a notification on her phone again. She opened it and became shocked, she sat up on bed and looked at her phone with disbelief. It was her brother Kai, wishing her birthday. She just sent a 'thank you '. She laid on the bed again. Her eyes filled with tears of happiness, even if the message was small, it had a big effect on her.

The next day Arcana went to her hometown, She had not gone there in 4 years. Most of the people recognized her. They started to gossip. She ignored them and went to the temple. Her family was already there. She did not care them either.

She entered the temple and went to the statue and joined her hands together and closed her eyes. The statue started lighting up with every passing second. She turned around and faced everyone in the temple. Arcana's eyes started to glow. It was emerald green now. Some strands of her turned green too. Her costume changed and a weapon appeared in her hand.

That is when they knew. She was not a curse, she was the goddess they worshipped for generations. I came to you, pleased by your good deeds, but you have disappointed me, Arcana said. I am going back, but still my blessings will be with you. Her father cried and fell on his knees. But there was no use, there was no going back.

No one is a curse in this world, everyone is a blessing. You just have to be good enough to see it.
