A leaf for a fish

a true story of a clever feline

By Cezarina TronePublished about a year ago 1 min read

The stray cat, always loitering near the fish market, watched intently as customers came and went.

One day, a leaf fell from a tree and caught her eye. Picking it up in her mouth, she made her way to the fishmonger. The man, amused by the cat's gift, took the leaf and in return, gave her a fresh fish.

The next day and every day after that, the cat brought a leaf and exchanged it for her daily meal. The fishmonger couldn't help but smile at the sight of the clever feline, who seemed to understand the concept of trade.
