A kaleidoscope of Octagon Towers

Miles High

This vision in my dream started with me being in a tour group of one hundred or more. We were touring what looked like one of the Pyramids in Egypt. We seemed to be in the middle of a desert and only this pyramid was in it. We were climbing up its steps when something went horribly wrong. The steps began to give way and floods of water started rushing in from the ground and swallowing up the stairs and some of the people. We all began scrambling and running to try to get away from the ever-increasing floods. Some of the walls in the pyramid going upward on ledges seemed to open up. I was trying to scramble to the top of the pyramid, for I could see a plateau at its top. I was racing to try to outrun the waters, hearing people screaming and seeing some being swallowed up, it was every man for himself. As I neared the apex of the pyramid, it had a whole different landscape that was flat for a short space and then another set of stairs leading up into another mountainous pyramid. I could hear the water rushing behind me, and still hear other people screaming and being swept away. I had to avoid the water at all cost, for I could not swim. All of a sudden there was the sound of an earthquake and the ground shuttered, then shards and cylinders and spires began coming out of the ground and rising to about 25 feet in the air. As these stone and metallic stalagmite-type shards came out of the ground, the floodwaters began to recede and like an escalator's steps continually move, so so did these shards come up out of the ground and replaced the waters. I was now walking on the flat dry paths in between the stalagmites. I headed toward some steps into an opening in one of the walls, then one of the huge stones in the wall the size of a door opened. There was a sense of dread as if soon the shards would begin to be upending again taking anything in their path. I think there were about 30 or so of us left, we headed into the door in the wall. Once inside, it looked like a museum. We seemed to be in a metallic prismatic cylinder with the most spectacular other world unknown drawings and writings on its walls, with lights shimmering from its ceiling. It was about the width of two midsized cars, and about fifty feet high. Its shape was an octagon or 8-sided room. The ceiling was shaped like a diamond and had mechanical images on different monitors of numbers and symbols, all darting back and forth across the screens. As we were still running around the walls heading toward, where we did not know, as the sense of impending doom loomed as if we didn't get to safety soon, we would perish. Above the diamond-shaped ceiling, we knew instinctively, that there were other floors above. We could hear the sound of footsteps coming from the above floor. The footsteps were unlike any normal human footsteps, but like the footsteps of giants whose heights were 100 feet tall. Heavy, thunderous earthquake-sounding and ground-shaking footsteps that seemed nervous as they moved quickly as if they did not want their existence to be discovered. Behind us was the sound of a great grinding stone that was advancing toward us that would grind us to nothing if it caught us. As we were running, I saw a man in an opening in one of the octagon's walls saying, "hurry, this way". I ran toward him and the others behind me, into the opening, once through it, we were outside again on the flat desert that stretched as far as the eye could see. We were safe outside and seemed several miles away from the pyramid. There was a small crowd all standing around wondering what this all could be. Then suddenly, the sound again of an earthquake and the ground shook and we all turned and looked back toward the pyramid, and out of the ground a powerful bursting forth of octagon-shaped buildings or towers resembling the top of the Space NeedleTower in Seattle. they broke forth out of the ground by groups of ten and twenty, stacked atop of each other slightly askew and you could see the light reflecting and bouncing off all of their sides as they towered upward, like the mythical beanstalk of Jack and the Beanstalk. These towers came up quickly stacking atop one another slightly swaying and in what seemed no more than a few seconds reached well up into the sky beyond our view. We all stood there in shock and awe looking up into the sky at these towering structures. They looked like prismatic kaleidoscopes light bouncing off and through them and bouncing off each other in a spectacular light show. Looking up to where several miles were, some of the towers broke off landing in some nearby clouds and began growing into more 8-sided prismatic towers growing upward like rungs on a ladder. There was one guy standing near saying he was going to risk going back through the opening to try to retrieve something he had left, but we knew if he would not return if he went, yet he chose to go back. The rest of us just stood there in amazement, staring up that these structures that seemed to defy gravity in their shimmering prismatic kaleidoscope beauty.
