The Final Moment
There is a moment of understanding between predator and prey when the inevitable finally occurs. Flesh ripping from the body and entangled in a mess of jagged unkempt teeth.
The overwhelming feeling of euphoria when you feel a slight increase in adrenaline, then nothing but pure survival. You feel an urgency to continue to fight against all odds. However hopeless as it may be.
I hope they feel it because my image will be their last view before the blackness fades in. A figment to remember.
Not human, but something of the darkest of nightmares imaginable.
It's deliciously beautiful.

The Business of Nature
Dew drops reflected the light of the sun. The inhabitants of Whispering Woods woke up to the golden droplets of water on the leaves of the flora. The oaks particularly enjoyed the light and the maples did, too. Happiness enveloped all who lived there, even the rocks that cried out in the night delighted in the morning.

Moon in the Dark
Mountainous dunes of the sea angrily crashed all around. Not a crumb of land could be seen, only the torrent of nature’s wrath cascading. In the midst of the cacophony wavered a man who was without coat and hat. His sleeves flapped at his forearms. His hair danced a terminal gallop as his face shrunk and stretched. The man gripped the bars of his small craft as if they were some salvation.
