Elizabeth pov.

Leading her teacher into their class, she points, "She is the one that stole my sandwiches."Elizabeth was pointing angrily at a rough looking girl."

The girl frowned and shouted back, "Shut the hell up! It wasn't me."

Miss darling froze, confused. She wondered who was telling the truth and what a sharp tongue the other girl had. They were just in second grade.

Elizabeth Beth was one of the wealthiest children in Miss Darling's classroom. She was smart and confident. She had somany friends too.

Miss Darling approached the other girl. Squatting, she said softly, "Did you steal lizzy's sandwiches? Don't worry I won't scold yo-"

"No! I didn't." The girl retreated angrily. " I didn't, I didn't, I didn't. The unhappy girl turns away to her table and places down her head.

Miss darling sighs.

"But you did, I saw you." A girl quietly whispers to her.

She raises her head, "Shut up and mind your business, or I will kill you." She puts her head back down, mumbling on some sandwiches She had hidden inside her socks.

Stella's pov, ( An hour ago ).

Stella's tummy grumbled. She had not eating since last night because, she didn't change her sisters diaper when her mum was away.

Stella was just eight years old, but she played the role of a big sister. Her parents were separated, and she was left with a nonchalant mother, who got her income from being a stripper.

Her mother tried hard to separate her work life from her small family, which sometimes resulted in leaving them alone overnight.

Sometimes, Stella was even left at home to cook for herself and her baby sis. The was how she got a small burn on her lap 3 weeks ago.

Stella had just finished eating stale bread and vegetable sauce for lunch, but they were bearly enough for her.

She mirrored the movements of one of her classmate called Elizabeth. She had developed a strange hatred towards her for numerous reasons. Therefore, the two girls never liked each other, and always seemed to fight.

Elizabeth always had friends and her mates around her. Either they are at her table, gushing above her with their heads bent at a new masterpiece her parents got for her, or they are telling her what beautiful yellow hair she has. Sometimes they are listening to one of the numerous vacation stories she often told.

On the other hand, Stella never had any crowd following her at her back. She moved alone, but commanded people. She was also smart and strong minded, having gone through alot.

There was a day, during a class party, she caught Elizabeth sneaking down her food into the bin. They were steamed vegetables with macaroni, pork and cheese. They were quite too much for a little girl to finish, but Stella couldn't care less.

She felt like those would go a long way helping her life. She went at Elizabeth and struck her on the face with her balloon. That day, nobody knew the reason for their fight, but sometimes it was like that. When Stella went back to the bin to check out the food, she reasoned that it was beyond rescuing. She was dismayed, and disliked Elizabeth the more.

Now, it was lunch time for the children. Elizabeth happily talking with her friends, opened her plate of sandwiches. She dragged her cup of juice closer to herself and said her prayers. She was fond of doing this.

She ate slowly as Stella watched.

Some people in class felt Stella was greedy. She always seemed to want everyone's food after finishing hers. She was a fast eater too. They didn't know what the girl was going through. Telling people about her problems wasn't an option. She was never brought up that way, so it didn't even cross her mind.

To avoid questioning, Stella's mom always made sure to park food for her children's school. She didn't want any nosy teacher or student interfering in her business. She always made Stella promise she would eat it during lunch just like the others.

Elizabeth's seat mate went to get their lunch bags, so she sat alone on the big table with her food. Stella knew it was time to strike. She casually moved closer to the table and loitered around.

Luckily for her, Elizabeth bends over, probably to pick something. Stella uses that opportunity to grab two big sandwiches. She turns and walks away briskly, hiding it in her jacket.

A dark skinned little boy, with curly hair proudly approaches Elizabeth, and whispers to her. Elizabeth looks at her plate, and a frown appears on her face. She stands up and walks towards Stella, who sat down on her table with her legs and arms folded.

"What do you want now?" She spits. She had already changed the location of the sandwich, incase someone had seen it's first hideout.

"Where is my sandwich?" Her right palm was opened infront of Stella.

"You didn't give me any sandwich to hold for you. Ask your friends and leave me alone." She looks away.

Elizabeth turns to the boy cluelessly.

"I saw what you did, Stella. You took Elizabeth's sandwich. Give it back to her."

Stella turns to him. "Is she your girlfriend? Or do you like her? Are you trying to impress her?" Stella plunged forward this time. " Leave me the hell alone, I am tired."

The boy turns red and walks away.

Suprised, Elizabeth turns to Stella, "You'll see." She walks away.

As soon as she turns her back, Stella picks the sandwich from her locker, and starts to nibble.

"Heyy, she is eating Elizabeth's sandwich!" Another boy cries.

Elizabeth turns with her lips parted.

"I brought sandwich today, you fool." She snaps.

"That's not true. You never bring sandwich, you always bring cooked food." A girl adds.

"Close your mouth! It stinks." Stella stressed the last words.

The hurt looking girl pouts and faces her front.

Elizabeth huffs. " I am reporting you to miss darlin, and there is nothing you can do that will stop me."

Stella opened the sandwich in half so it will last longer and continued eating.

Soon enough, Stella saw miss darling, being led by Elizabeth.

"She is the one that stole my sandwiches." Elizabeth pointed at Stella.

Stella brushes her body and prepares herself.
