11:47
On a stormy night at a forgotten station, a woman finally discovers the truth behind her brother’s disappearance.

The last train left at 11:47 p.m., carrying everyone except Maya.
She stood alone on the platform beneath the flickering lights of Ashbourne Station, clutching a letter she had sworn never to open again. Rain tapped against the rusted roof while distant thunder rolled across the sleeping town.
Ten years earlier, her brother Leo disappeared without explanation. No goodbye. No trace. Only one promise: *Meet me here when the clock stops mattering.*
At the time, she laughed at the strange note. Tonight, she finally understood.
The station clock had frozen at 11:47.
A sudden gust swept through the platform. Maya looked up and saw a figure standing near the tracks, blurred by mist. Her breath caught. The same denim jacket. The same crooked posture.
“Leo?” she whispered.
The figure smiled but never stepped closer.
“I couldn’t come back,” he said softly. “But I needed you to know it wasn’t your fault.”
Tears warmed her cold cheeks. For years she carried guilt like a second shadow.
The lights flickered once more, and the figure vanished.
Only silence remained.
But for the first time in a decade, Maya no longer felt abandoned.
She felt released.
