Top Three Airbnb

From TN to VA to SC

When traveling, we often wonder, "Where will we stay?" and most people lean towards a hotel. While hotels are great if you find the right one however when you experience the wrong one, it deters you from wanting to use another again. Our last draw was a hotel that left us realizing why we always choose Airbnbs. So this article will cover the top three I have encountered and why they are in the top three.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Number three is the Angelic Sunset in Sevierville, TN. The views are amazing, and the cabin itself has enough room for our big family (five children and two adults). Another plus that the other two do not have is a hot tub. The hot tub has a view of the mountains in Sevierville. I think the only downfall is the drive up the mountain. While a minivan can make it up the mountain, it left us to choose whether to stay in or spend the whole day in Gatlinburg, TN, because driving up and down the mountain was not ideal. But, overall great view, is relaxing, and spacious. If you love taking baths, the master bath has jets and enough room for two adults if hot tubs are not your thing.

Number two is the Serenity By The Seaside - Crescent Sands/Windy Hill. This trip was eventful in many ways. Since this location is in North Myrtle Beach, SC, there are many things to do. Unfortunately, before arriving, the host called us to inform us our condo would not be available. We lived at least six hours away, so my brain began to panic. However, the host provided another condo to make up for it as she got the condo repaired from water damage from upstairs. The condo she offered to us for a few nights was beautiful; however, it did not offer the views of the ocean we had hoped for. Finally, three days into our seven-day trip, we received the call to go to our condo. The condo is spacious and is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom layout with a kitchen and living room. The view of the ocean would have been magical if there wasn't construction going on next door (however, this was not a negative point in our trip at all). This location is fantastic for young children because you have the beach, trampoline park, dinner theater, and many shopping and eateries—an overall fantastic experience for everyone involved. The downside was the offer (brought up by the host and not myself) to be refunded for a day and a half since we did not have the condo we paid for was not honored until after reaching out to Airbnb. However, if we were to go on vacation to Myrtle Beach again, we would still consider this condo based on its location since, other than the refund, the host was polite and made sure we had somewhere to sleep while she fixed our condo.

The number one condo choice is Marepaz! The oceanfront view is absolutely to die for. This home is impressive and is set in a mermaid theme in the master room with a bathroom off its side. The upstairs features a skull and crossbones room that views the beautiful trees out front, and the sailor room features a beautiful view of the ocean. The living room and dining space have a gorgeous view of the ocean.

The kitchen in this Airbnb is fantastic and the best we have seen yet. This home also features a laundry room (the other two have a washer and dryer but not in their own space). You are offered the use of kayaks and water shoes to enjoy the gorgeous waterfront. However, with little ones, we were not able to enjoy the kayaks. Inside they offer movies and games for your use, as well as a karaoke machine. While high-speed internet is not available at this location, you will not need it. We enjoyed some soccer in the spacious yard and drove into town to enjoy the local park, beaches, and fresh seafood. This home gives you that at-home feeling with the most cleanliness, an essential topic with COVID being an issue.

The host was quick to answer questions and even left a bottle of wine, chocolates, and popcorn as welcoming gifts. While this home has the at-home charm if you are looking for some added fun, this home is about two hours from Washington, DC, where you can take your family to the many free museums and return from the chaotic city to relax in the quiet, beautiful town of White Stone.
