Oh, I remember where I was when this battle would start on August 22, 2016.

It was here in our new house close to a year that we moved fromthe state of New Jersey to the state Florida to start our retirement years.

My husband would get up and go to the bathroom and I would be summoned into the bathroom to look at the horrible site of blood in the toilet.

Off to the hospital for the night we would go to find out nothing but maybe UTI. Instructions to follow up with your doctor.

Little did we know that in October you would be diagnosed with a possible of three types of Cancers.

We were scared to find out that it would be only two types of Cancers. You would have to have your kidney removed because it had Cancer in it. Prostate Cancer had set in as Aggressive Stage 4. The worst type of Cancer diagnosis that you could have.

I felt like the world was moving without me in it. I had to bring myself down for a place and to what the doctor was saying to the both of us.

First up would be the removal of the kidney completely. After you healed from that it would be 45 days of radiation.

Thinking that we have beaten the monster. It came back.

This time it set up shop in your bladder. Prostate Cancer new home and for years would come and go away and come back again and again.

The doctor would go in and remove this monster and we would wait for the next battle to begin.

Meanwhile, you would use chemotherapy for 6 months. You added a new part of armor to your body. The port to ease that medicine into your system.

At last some rest from the cancer for a while, we hoped. Nope, it only stopped the growing of it while you had chemotherapy

This when on for six months and no complaining, as you sat in the chair f battle this cancer.

You have had many tests done in this battle with Prostate Cancer. We to have keep it at bay. Special dye and scan to find out what it what in you.

We have been lucky that it had not spread to other parts of the body.

Your warrior team has grown over the years with new doctors.

Many travels to different offices to see them. Some of them

required overnight stays.

I must say that you have more fight in you them anyone that I know.

The man that lives in the sky must have given extra courage because some people we have known over the year have not made it this far as you have.

You have lost your hair no complaint there, felt like an ice cube, and sweated to no end.

We will continue to fight this battle there is no fight left in one of us.

This is a battle that will not have a happy ending but just knowing that we battle this together.

As you the warrior and I as the researcher and the doctor with his sword to battle the Prostate Cancer monster.

We fight and fight to the end of this. Together as husband and wife. To death do us part those were the words we spoke on our wedding day almost 30 years ago. This was done in front of our friends and family.

We are in it together. Something I give up but I see you in battle and I get right back in the battle with you. Prostate Cancer we will fight you to the end.
