In the following few months, Jack and Angela began dating, and as time went on, their love for one another deepened. They went on romantic dates, visited various locations, and got to know one another's families. Jack asked Angela to marry him after they had been dating for two years, and she accepted. their baby she went to a clinic and they took a sample of their baby's DNA a few days later the results came back and they were shocked the DNA test revealed that Jack was not the biological father of their baby Angela was stunned she couldn't believe what she was reading she had never cheated on Jack and she didn't know how this was possible she went back to the clinic and asked them to run the test again but the results were the same Angela was devastated she didn't know what to do she loved her baby with all of her heart but she couldn't understand how he was white she didn't know who the biological father was and she didn't know how to tell Jack one day Angela decided to confront Jack and tell him the truth she called him and asked him to meet her at a park when Jack arrived he was come back to her she told him that she still loved him and wanted to be with him Jack was torn he loved Angela but he didn't know how to react to this news he needed time to process everything and he asked for more time to decide Angela understood that Jack needed time to process everything and she didn't pressure him she gave him space and time to think things through she didn't want to force him to make a decision and she hoped that he would come back to her days turned into weeks and Angela didn't hear from Jack she was worried that he had made up his mind and decided to move on without her but one day Jack called her and asked her to meet him for dinner Angela was nervous but she agreed to meet him when they met Jack apologized for not believing her and abandoning her he told her that he loved her and wanted to be with her and their son he said that he had done some soul searching and realized that he couldn't let go of his love for her Angela was overjoyed she couldn't believe that Jack had come back to her she forgave him for leaving her and promised to love him and their son forever they hugged each other tightly and Angela felt like everything was going to be all right after that day Jack moved back in with Angela and their son they started their life together again and it was like nothing ever happened they were happy and in love and they raised their son as a team years went by and their son grew up to be a happy and healthy child he didn't know about the DNA test or the doubts that his parents had he only knew that he was loved by both parents and that's all that mattered one day when their son was 12 years old Angela decided to tell him the truth about his biological father she sat him down and explained everything to him she told him that he was not Jack's biological son but it didn't change the fact that he was loved and cherished by both of his parents their son was shocked but he didn't seem to care he hugged Angela and Jack and told them that he loved them both he said that they were his parents and that was all that mattered Angela and Jack were relieved they'd been worried that their son would be devastated by the news but he had taken it in stride they knew that they had raised him well and he had a strong sense of family and love years went by and Angela and Jack grew old together they faced many challenges but they never lost their love for each other they knew that they had been through so much together and that they were grateful for every moment that they had one day Angela passed away peacefully in her sleep Jack was heartbroken but he knew that she was in a better place he knew that she was watching over him and their son and he felt her love every day after Angela's death Jack decided to get a DNA test to find out who his son's biological father was he wanted to know the truth and put everything to rest once and for all he went to a clinic and gave a sample of his son's DNA a few days later the results came back and they were shocking the DNA test revealed that Jack was in fact the biological father of their son he couldn't believe what he was reading he had always thought that their son was not his but the DNA test proved him wrong jack was overwhelmed with the motion he couldn't believe that he had doubted Angela and their love he felt guilty for leaving her and their son and he wished he could go back in time and do things differently but he knew that he couldn't change the past he could only move forward and honor Angela's memory he knew that she had loved him with all of her heart and he was grateful for the time they'd spent together Jack shared the DNA tests with his son and they were both shocked their son was confused and didn't understand how the result could be wrong jack explained that sometimes DNA tests can be flawed but they had no doubt that he was their son they hugged each other tightly and Jack promised his son that he would always be there for him no matter what he knew that he had made mistakes in the past but he was determined to make it right in the coming years Jack and his son grew even closer they bonded over their shared love for Angela and their memories of her they talked about her often and remembered all the good times they had shared at his family Jack also started volunteering at a local charity that helped single mothers and their children he wanted to give back to the community and honor Angela's memory by helping others he knew that she would be proud of him as time passed Jack's son grew up to be a successful young man he graduated from college and started his own business Jack was proud of him and knew that Angela would have been too on the day of his son's wedding Jack felt a sense of Pride and Joy he knew that his son had found someone who loved him as much as he did and he knew that Angela would have been thrilled to see him getting married during the wedding reception Jack's son made a speech in which he thanked Jack for being the best father his son could ask for he talked about how Jack had always been there for him even when he had doubts about his paternity he said that Jack had taught him the true meaning of love and family Jack was moved to Tears by his son's words he hugged him tightly and told him how much he loved him he knew that he had made mistakes in the past but he was grateful for the second chance he'd been given as the night wore on Jack danced with his son's new wife and thought about how far they'd come as a family he knew that Angela was watching over them and he felt her love and presence in everything they did in the end Jack realized that love was the most important thing in life it was stronger than doubt stronger than fear and stronger than anything else he knew that he had been blessed to have loved and Been Loved by Angela and he was grateful for every moment they'd shared together the discovery of their son's true paternity had been a shock but it had also been a bless in Overcoming The Barriers Of Trust Issues In A Relationship
Trust issues are barriers in any relationship and can destroy intimacy in a relationship. Trust issues occur due to several reasons such as trauma from past relationships , childhood trauma , abuse, and so on. There is this quote that I like " If trust didn't require risk, it wouldn't be trust. And without trust, fear is the only possibility."

Undocumented OFW: Does the means justify the end?
Growing up, we were always taught that lying is morally wrong, however we were not taught as to why it is wrong. We were just forced to understand as a kid that it is wrong because in reality âlyingâ is much more complex than it is just being âwrongâ. According to Kant, the act of lying or deception attacks our morality as it undermines our ability to make free, and rational choices or it corrupts the most significant quality of being a human being. Now, the widely accepted definition of lie is making a statement believed to be false, with the intention of getting another to accept it as true which was mentioned by Igor Primoratz. Why is the concept of lying necessary to âworking and laborâ specifically in the discourse of overseas Filipino workers' issues? 3.6 percent of 1.83 million overseas filipino workers from the latest data released from april-september 2 .021 were accounted for those who are undocumented or who are working abroad without working visa or work permits such as tourist, visitor, student, medical and other types of non-immigrant visas but were employed and working full time. From a facile discussion of the context of deception, we could dive deeper to these issues. One reason that we could almost memorize when they (OFW) are being asked why they take risks in working in a foreign country is âpara umahon sa kahirapanâ (to combat poverty). This reason is always being romanticized as resiliency where in fact it is merely an indication of how poor our country is. People are mostly eager to provide food to their table to the extent of forging documents and risking their security while being away from the comfort of their homes. More than brave citizens, undocumented ofws are victims of mismanaged government and a poor country. Long and expensive processing of legal documents Ofw are indeed heroes on their own, but to get to that title they had to go through the complexity of producing legal documents and going through a long process. Having the valid documents alone, one must ensure to have more than enough money that will cover all its area which includes the long processing of documents in government agencies. Adding to that, seminars and orientations are also a significant part of being able to legally work in a foreign country. All of which are expensive and time consuming. One should also undergo medical and trade testing which makes the procedure costly. All that said activity and procedures are all still depending on which country one aspires to work in, most of the time there is so much more to it. For the Filipinos who are in the marginalized sector, the entirety of this process and acquiring significant documents could be a really hard and exhausting phase. Application of the passport alone already costs 900-1200 in pesos, and that is the most significant and basic requirement one should have. Not to mention all the other documents. That being said, Filipinos who are on the edge of oneâs seat may find an easier way to work abroad, illegally. Frailty of Government. Although others might get the impression that people are to be blame for being undocumented workers, we could also look more into the system itself. Itâs problematic alone that they could only detect an undocumented worker when they are subjected to being deported back to the country. Problems arose from then on. The government should ensure the safety of their people in and outside of the countryâ and that should start by establishing strong security that could discern all people who are undocumented, before flying to another country to guarantee the welfare of every person who aims to work overseas. Strengthening the security shouldnât mean to make the process more complicated, strengthening could somehow mean watching closely and accommodating people in a more pleasing and congenial manner. With the guidance of people who have authority and have a vast knowledge when it comes to being an overseas Filipino worker, people who also wish to work internationally could be comfortable in doing the right and legal process of being one. We could also include in this discourse the incapability of the Government to produce and issue humane policies that would make employees want to stay in the country. If people here think that salaries and taxes are balanced efficiently or the taxes are being used properly, people would think more than twice if they still want to be an OFW. I think one thing that is also being overlooked most of the time is the serious issue of overpopulation. It's reasonable to assume that the prevailing poverty is the major or primary source of all that has been described above. âThe means justify the endâ, we often hear this when something is done that defies our ethics or our moral values as it condones the occurrence of the particular activity. In this matter we could really give all our sympathy for those who are undocumented migrant workers for the reason that the majority of them make enormous efforts to support the families they left behind in the Philippines. The decision of leaving oneâs home country is already a tough commitment. It gets harder as one pursues it. Complications and other external problems are inevitable but there are solutions that could be of help to people more than just âemotional and moralâ support. As stated from above, strengthening the security and making the process more manageable and accessible to people of all sorts, regardless their social status, and their gender identities, could be of great help and aid to people. Free consultations and seminars may also contribute to the societyâs knowledge of what are the opportunities for themselves. Even though the means of pursuing to be an OFW despite being an illegal migrant worker means well for themselves and their families, the consequences of it can go severe. However, with the right amount of support and humane considerations among people, we could lessen the number of undocumented workers and have them walking and working freely in a foreign country.

Dying together: Why a happily married couple decided to stop living.
Jan and Els, united in matrimony for nearly half a century, passed away together in early June after receiving a lethal dose of medication from two physicians. This act, termed duo-euthanasia, is legally permissible but infrequent in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, more Dutch couples opt for this end-of-life choice annually. The following narrative may evoke strong emotions.

Golden Hours of Childhood
Flipping of pages was heard. Moments later, a laughter enveloped the room. She suddenly feel reminiscent of her childhood. Her mind then wandered on that day. On the time of the day where the sun is about to set, children are gathered in the front yard, waiting for their friend to go out. As soon as she step out from the house, they started to run and shouted, âIkaw ang taya! (You are the tagger!)â At this time of the year, children enjoys the smiling sun and the long vacation they usually have. As soon as the sun starts to hide, they will come out to play their favorite games. However, as pandemic arrived and surged in the country, children has been locked up in their houses. Because of that and because of some people who grew up fidgeting their gadgets, the games that children played back then, started to fade. Let us go back as we unfold the lessons each game taught us, which we never knew would come in handy in the life we'll live years after. Children of the succeeding generations might miss how to play Patintero that taught us how to guard our bases properly, prevent someone from escaping and move fast as the wind for oneâs team to win. Agility and excellent teamwork could result to a win in this game. Patintero, is a game often played outdoors. This game involves two teams. One of the teams would be the âitâ, they will stand on the perpendicular water lines in the middle. The other team will be the runners, they have to avoid getting tagged or trapped by the âitâ and should be able to cross without getting caught. Once the âitâ team catches a runner, even if it is only one of the runner team, the functions of both teams would be reversed. Tumbang Preso, taught us how to be cautious and protective of what we possess. This game is about protecting the pamato, which is commonly a shoe or a slipper. Once the pamato is thrown and the can moves away from its place, the one who threw the slipper should run as fast as he can to go back to the starting point or the point where they threw the slipper, or else he will be the new prisoner. To be keen and attentive is what Tagu-taguan, or widely known as Hide and Seek, taught us. This game involves at least two participants. There would be an âitâ who would try to find the other participants who hid in different places. If ever placed as an âitâ, one must have keen eyes to spot the people who hid just like how we keenly review every document we submit, may it be for academic purpose or for work. However, one should also be attentive, because your friend might have deceived you by hiding on their own homes. Our strategic and competitive spirit was ignited by Siyato. Hitting the wood placed on a small hole is the highlight of this game. The player from the first team would try to hit the wood as far as he can to score bigger point while the player from other team would try to catch the stick hit by his foe, in order to nullify the scored point. The winner is decided based on who gained bigger points more, on each team. Sipa, Philippines' former national sport, enhanced our focus on things. Sipa, also known as Sepak Takraw, is a game that uses a washer which the player should prevent from reaching the ground once tossed. Depending on how many kicks the player did without the âsipaâ falling, the winner would be decided. On the other hand, our flexibility and endurance was tested by Chinese Garter. This game sometimes uses a Chinese garter which led to the game's name or tied rubber bands as a replacement to the Chinese garter. Commonly, the participants are divided into two teams. The players would decide who would jump first and who would hold the garter. In this game, two people from the other team stand on both sides to hold the garterand the members from the other team would try to cross it by jumping and leaping. This game has levels, it starts on the ankles until the garter reach the top of the head of the poles. Flexibility can be very useful in this game especially if the garter goes higher than you, for the players are allowed to do cartwheels. Whenever you are the mother, you should have great endurance. In that way, youâll be able to bring your team back once they die from a certain round. The next game is a matter of luck and a little bit of calculation skills. Unlike the games presented above, this is often played indoors. Sungka uses an oblong-shaped board that consists two rows of seven small bowl often called, âbahayâ and two separate stores on each side. Often, the game goes as the first player starts to distribute the stones from one of the houses, moving clockwise. In the distribution of the stones, the player should include her store on the pits she'll put her stones is, while passing by the store owned by her opponent. In order to win, one must have more stones on her store than her opponent. The game only ends when the small pits are emptied. Indeed, mathematics plays an important part of our life, even back then. Luksong Baka tested our flexibility just like how Chinese Garter did. This is played outdoors with an âitâ acting like the cow, bends his/her body from the lower level to the higher level in which the âitâ is standing. The players who are not the âitâ should cross the âitâ without touching even a small part of the âitâ. If the player touched the âitâ, he/she would be the new âitâ. Even then, music played a big part on our lives. This game enhanced our ears to be attentive, focused and on the beat. Bahay-kubo, a game named after a Philippine folk song. It involves four people that is divided into two groups. Each group should come up with different clapping routine. After coming up with the routine, the opponents While singing bahay kubo, the pairs would face each other and perform the routine. However, as the song reaches the middle part, the pairs are required to play the routine made by the other pair. Tempting the âitâ to catch the player going down is the highlight of this game. This tested our patience and resembled how we are easily tempted with things. Langit-lupa is a game often played outdoors where there are low level stairs. In this game, the ground where the âitâ is in, is called Lupa while the higher level ground where the players stood is the Langit. If the player goes down from Langit, which is the safe zone, he will be chased and tagged by the âitâ and soon, heâll be the new tagger. This game taught us how to givean opportunity a go at times and back down when we think itâs not the right time yet. Indeed, all these games we had been used to playing long ago, did not only made our childhood, memorable and fun, it also taught us different lessons that we may apply in the reality where we are no longer a child who can cherish every moment like it was the last. We did not know it would be like this when we dreamed of growing up fast back then. Nevertheless, it was worthwhile being a child. We may have different views about our childhood. We may have taken different paths that led us here. However, I wish all child in this world can experience how beautiful those golden hours had been to some. Children living like a child is ephemeral thus, they should be able to cherish it like how we enjoy watching the sun set in the golden hour these days, where we used to play freely long ago. Now that we are experiencing pandemic, itâs heartbreaking to see that some children have been robbed of the childhood they should be enjoying because of the virus. Hopefully, someday, they could go out freely and mingle with their friends again. Gasping for air, the children lined up to stare the sun slowly going down and the sky slowly turning to black. They were freely resting from the tiring games they played and enjoying the view when one of their friends has been called to go home by her mother. She bid goodbye to her friends and shouted, âBye! Bukas ulit! (Bye! [Letâs play] again tomorrow!)â Her smile faded as soon as she came back to her reality. She closed the album and put it back on the cabinet. She smiled nostalgically. Sheâs no longer a child, but a lady who should work hard to reach her dreams and provide for her family who needs her.
