If you are sick of your enemies as they never let you have a happy life, then you should look for some techniques to control them. Some so many women have to suffer a lot due to their in-laws, and sometimes they become the leading cause of your divorce. If your mother in law does not like you, and she wants her son to leave you, then you should take some dangerous actions against her. If she is your biggest enemy as she always thinks terrible about you and keeps talking wrong about you, then it may impact your reputation and married life too.

Fox News Can I Have My Parents Back Now Please?
Author's preface: This is a repost of an article I published on an alternate yet eerily similar web publishing platform way back in 2017. It includes an addendum I later made to it in response to my own serious concerns about the way my parents were portrayed. I am republishing this now along with a companion post that is linked here because I think that together the two articles make for a compelling story. One (this one) a lighthearted and humorous tale that I ended up very much regretting, and the other, which describes why I felt that way and what I tried to do about it.

Incidentally I already wrote and submitted this story to Vocal about a month ago. It has languished in "awaiting review" purgatory ever since. I finally got tired of waiting and am re-submitting to a different community or whatever dumb thing they call them.

Since moving to North America from the UK 11 years ago, I have had to learn to grow accustomed to the subtle little differences compared to life back home. I wouldn't say that I have ever had culture shock, but there are certain things that are different for example, fires on the beach to cook s’mores in the summer (illegal in UK (fires, not s’mores I mean)), S’mores, driving on the right side of the road and going around roundabouts backwards, paying to have a bank account, not having to pay to have a TV, etc etc

I just love this time of year. I enjoy watching my grandchildren get all excited about Santa coming to visit. The aroma of tamales steaming in my mother's kitchen embraces me when I enter her house. It brings back memories of my childhood. I look back at those memories as being some of the best years of my life as a child growing up. It was all about being with my family and knowing how much everyone loved you and a simple hug meant more to me than any gift.

*The above photo is a visual stand-in for the offending coffee table* Viewer discretion is advised. Circa black Friday weekend of a year long since past, a heinous crime occurred. I, innocent child that I was, sat upon my paternal grandparents' piano bench, was grievously injured by the joint efforts of gravity and a coffee table.

Christmastime seems to roll around quicker each year. It’s just some sort of thing that happens when you get older. You start to think back about all of the Christmas seasons you’ve made it through. Each year has brought so many memorable moments, but the years that always pop out the most when I think back are the years that had everything go wrong. I have had many years that had seemed like everything that could go wrong, did. If I had to pick the most memorable Christmas season yet, it would definitely be Christmas of 2001.

The lights, the music, the joyful spirit and then there is the cooking. The holidays are upon us and although I enjoy the wonder of it all, so to speak, I also find them stressful and tiring mainly because I am the one who hosts and cooks the meals. Although I love cooking most days, I’m not actually that big a fan of Thanksgiving or Christmas meals because I am exhausted by the end of the day. I won’t go into details as to why I am the only one cooking other than my siblings are not able to host or cook and my parents who have both now passed away were not able to help due to medical conditions.
