But worst of all was the emptiness the crushing realization that she was going through this journey alone. She turned her head slightly looking at the man who lay beside her Daniel. Once upon a time his presence had meant everything to her. He had held her close whispered sweet promises and told her he would always be there. But now, he seemed like a stranger. Ever since she got pregnant things had changed. He no longer looked at her the way he used to. There was no warmth in his touch no love in his eyes. He spent long hours at work came home late and barely spoke to her. On some nights he would scroll through his phone endlessly and on others he would simply turn his back to her and fall asleep.
