Once upon a time, there was a boy named Jack. He lives with his mother in a small house in the village. Jack's family is very poor, the only asset they have is a cow, which is so old that it can no longer give milk. One day, Jack's mother decided to sell the cow. Mother told Jack to take the cow to the market to sell, trying to get a good price.

On the way to the market, Jack met a mysterious old man. The old man said:

– I will exchange your cow for this bean.

– Why do you have to exchange the whole cow for this tiny pea?

– This is not an ordinary bean, but a magic bean. Plant it tonight and tomorrow morning it will grow as high as the sky.

– How could this happen? Why should I believe what you say?

– If what I say does not come true, I will return the cow to you tomorrow morning

Jack didn't really believe what the strange old man said, but he didn't see anything to lose by talking to him. So he agreed to exchange the cow for magic beans like the old man said. When he got home, his mother asked:

– Jack, how much money did you get from selling the cow?

– I exchanged it for this magic bean, mom

- What's up? You dare exchange the only asset my family has for this useless bean? Why did you do that?

Jack's mother was very angry, she scolded Jack and threw the beans through the window, the beans fell into the garden. She punished Jack not to eat dinner that night. The next morning, when Jack woke up and looked through the window, he saw something he had never seen in his life. A strange tree rose up high into the blue sky.

– Oh, what is that?

– Is it my magic bean plant?

Jack happily climbed out the window and jumped to the beanstalk. “Oh, the old man's words have come true. The tree has grown to the sky. I have to go up and see."

Jack curiously climbed up the tree. He kept climbing, he kept climbing, he kept climbing. Climbing until the end of the day, Jack reached the sky. Before Jack's eyes was a magical, dream-like scene. Among the white clouds is a magnificent castle. Jack was tired from climbing for so long, and also hungry because he hadn't eaten anything since last night, so he knocked hard on the door

- Hello, Is anyone here? Can I have some food, please?

– Suddenly, the castle door opened by itself.

Jack was surprised, but then he boldly stepped inside. The scene inside is very splendid, the furniture is shiny. Jack went to the kitchen, he saw a slice of bread and some milk. He was so hungry that he picked up a slice of bread to eat, when he heard loud noises and the whole castle shook as if in an earthquake. Jack was scared and hid under the table. A fierce giant entered the room, in his hand was a large bag of gold. It turns out that this is the castle of the evil giant.

The giant snorted loudly, he smelled a strange scent. He looked around but couldn't see Jack because he was too small and was hiding under the table. He thought to himself, "Maybe that's just the smell of the turkey I ate last night." He yawned tiredly and decided to go to sleep. The giant placed the bag of gold on the table and left. When he left the room, Jack immediately crawled out of his hiding place and climbed up on the table. "Oh, what a big bag of gold, I will be rich."

Jack took the bag of gold and jumped off the table. He crept across the room, out of the giant's castle, and with all his might carried the bag of gold to the beanstalk. He climbed down the bean tree and brought the bag of gold back to his mother. He told his mother about the magic beanstalk, about the giant's castle and showed her the bag of gold he had taken.

A few days later, Jack climbed the beanstalk again into the sky, returning to the castle from the previous day. While he was exploring the castle, he heard the giant's thundering footsteps. He didn't have time to run to hide under the table, so he quickly crawled into the cupboard. The giant brought a hen's nest to the front of the cupboard.

– Chicken, please lay golden eggs for me! The giant said. Holding the turtle, the golden egg hatched.

The chicken squawked loudly and quickly laid an egg made of pure gold. The giant picked up the egg and left the room. Jack quickly got out of his hiding place, he took the chicken and brought it out of the room, trying to run as fast as he could before the giant discovered it. Jack brought the chicken home to his mother:

– Mom, look, this chicken lays really golden eggs.

He imitated the giant and said, "Chicken, lay golden eggs for me!" Embrace the turtle, the golden egg hatches." The chicken squawked loudly and then laid an egg made of pure gold.

Jack's mother said: “Jack, stealing from others is not good. You must exchange fairly and live honestly."

– But mom, this chicken lays golden eggs, I don't have to work anymore and still have enough to live.

Jack became more and more greedy, every day he returned to the castle and stole more objects from the giant.

One day, when he sneaked into the castle, he saw the giant talking to the harp:

– Um ba la, let me play music for you.

And the guitar suddenly sounded melodious melodies. This music makes me so sleepy, I have to go to sleep. When the giant returned to his bedroom, Jack climbed on the table again and stole the harp.

But unexpectedly, when he touched the guitar, music automatically started playing. The guitar cried out: "Boss, boss, someone stole from me."

Hearing the sound of a harp calling for help, the giant woke up and walked out of the room. Before Jack could escape, he was caught by a giant holding a guitar in his hand.

– Ah, how dare you steal my guitar? You stole my bag of gold coins and my magic chicken, right?

Jack slipped over the giant's feet and tried to escape. The angry giant chased him. Jack got scared and slid down from his perch. He heard the sound of wind whistling in his ears. The giant also fell right behind him.

When Jack touched the ground, he immediately went to find the ax and used all his strength to chop the magic beanstalk. The beanstalk toppled and fell to the ground. The giant lost momentum, fell to the ground and died.

And Jack received a worthy lesson. He understands that he must not greedily appropriate other people's things and must work hard to have a good life.
