Planning the perfect Singapore family holiday involves a blend of excitement, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences for all ages. From world-class attractions like Universal Studios and the Singapore Zoo to the lush greenery of Gardens by the Bay, Singapore offers an array of activities that cater to every family member's interests. Discover the vibrant culture, indulge in delicious local cuisine, and enjoy family-friendly accommodations that ensure comfort and convenience. This guide will help you craft a memorable and seamless itinerary, ensuring your family enjoys the best of what Singapore has to offer.

The Best Time to Travel to Singapore

Located close to the equator, Singapore experiences warm weather year-round, with temperatures averaging between 26 to 30 degrees Celsius. Despite the consistently warm climate, the country also sees many rainy months throughout the year. The ideal time to visit is during the dry season, from June to August, offering the best weather for exploration. In contrast, the monsoon season, characterized by frequent rains, begins in November and continues through January.

How long should your Stay in Singapore be?

Singapore is quite a small country with a land size of only around 280 square miles, so you won’t need much time to explore Singapore, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of things to do. Usually, a 3-day stay will be adequate but to best enjoy all the activities and spend some time shopping a stay of about a week would be ideal.

Where to Stay in Singapore

There are many different options to choose from when planning for a hotel stay in Singapore. A few questions you should ask yourself are what your budget is, how accessible it is to public transport and what amenities you are looking for. Ann Siang House The Unlimited Collection makes for a great place to stay together as a family as they offer many different types of rooms which make for a comfortable and luxurious stay in Singapore.

Getting Around in Singapore

Public transport is the best and safest way to get around Singapore. With most places being reachable by the MRT and bus services it makes it an easy and affordable travel mode. Ride-sharing apps like Grab and Metered Taxis are another method of going about. Being the green city that Singapore is aiming to become there are also Electric scooters that may turn into a fun adventure for your family if they are of age to ride them with you.

Attractions to See

The Singapore Zoo is known for being one of the best in the world, with a large lake in the middle of it and many tropical plants and animals to see. An interesting and fun thing to note is that the Orangutans are free to roam around the zoo with their zookeepers in tow to make sure they don’t get up to any mischief. You should also check out the River Safari which is a smaller scale Aquarium that hosts freshwater and brackish dwellers. Here you can also take a boat ride around the premises or take a log flume to have an exciting splash in the water as you ride it. Sentosa Island is a must-visit with family as they are host to Universal Studios as well and has sandy beach shores that most kids will enjoy. At night Singapore does not rest and instead becomes even more lively. You can head over to the Gardens by the Bay and watch the Rhapsody Light and Sound Show which looks like Mother Nature putting on a musical show. Flying Kites at Marina Barrage is a fun past time when families get together to spend the day and enjoy a picnic together.
