Christmas is a time for family, friends, and fun. It's also a time for lots of cooking and baking, decorating the house and tree, card writing and sending out to friends and family, attending holiday parties… you get the idea.

However, it can also be stressful if you are one of the millions of stay-at-home moms who have to juggle all the responsibilities while still making Christmas happen for everyone.

Here are 10 tips that will help make this holiday season less hectic for you.

1. Get Organized

Get organized early on so that you have more time to do the most important things, like spending quality time with your family, baking Christmas cookies, and decorating the tree together. Use a simple planner to organize your holiday season.

2. Make A List

Make a list of everything that needs to be done so there are no surprises, especially on Christmas Eve. From gifts to the menu for your Christmas brunch, you can plan it all and avoid last-minute shopping.

3. Don't Do Everything By Yourself.

Ask for help early on to avoid unnecessary stress and family feuds during the holidays or festive events like Christmas Eve celebrations with friends and family.

Tighten your circle of confidants so you have a strong support system in place this holiday season.

4. Engage Your Kids

Engage your kids and make the season fun by including your kids in home decorating and baking with Santa cookies or adding some special touches of their own to the tree.

They'll be more engaged if they're involved.

5. Say No

Learn to say "no" without feeling guilty. You don't have to do anything you are uncomfortable with, like hosting everyone at your house or staying up all night baking cookies for Santa Claus.

Plan what you can and eliminate what's not possible.

6. Say Bye to Perfectionism

Let go of perfectionism because it will make you feel frustrated or disappointed if things don't turn out as planned during the holidays.

It's okay to relax a little this Christmas season so that everyone can enjoy themselves more. It's OK MAMA!

7. Reward Yourself

Reward yourself for a job well done. Don't forget to take care of your needs - set aside some time every day during the holidays to do something that you enjoy, like going out with friends, or taking a bubble bath before bedtime.

Don't feel guilty for taking a break!

8. Enjoy Little Magical Moments

Instead of feeling overwhelmed about all the things that need to be done before Christmas Day arrives, focus on what's happening in front of you and enjoy the little moments.

9. Track Your Funds

Keep a track of funds to avoid overspending and the stress of holiday shopping.

Remember Christmas is not about expensive gifts; you can always make thoughtful presents for your loved ones with special memories attached to them.

You can make DIY Christmas crafts like beautiful photo ornaments, stockings for your family members, heartfelt personalized gifts, or homemade goodies.

10. Keep It Simple.

Do not overdo things at home because you will end up exhausted by the time Christmas is here. Sometimes putting things low-key keeps stress levels down.

When you're a stay-at-home mom, it's important to remember that stress affects everyone differently.

Don't compare your life to others' seemingly perfect lives on social media. You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes.

Finally, remember to be grateful for what you have because it will help make this Christmas season more meaningful and enjoyable.

I hope these ideas will help you have a relaxing Christmas when you're a full-time mother.
