Harold the Happy House

Harold the Happy House loves living on Smile Street. He is 15 years old, which is very young for a house. His family has a mom, a dad, a little girl and a guinea pig named Hamilton. He is very proud of his family. His best friend, Maggie, lives next door with her family. Maggie has a puppy named Lily.

Today is the first day of summer and it is going to be very warm. It feels so good when the sun shines down on him. He radiates the warmth into his belly so his family can be warm too. That is especially important in the winter. Right now, his family is playing in the back yard where Harold's shadow helps to keep them cool.

Harold sees a few clouds in the distance that let him know it will be time to shower later. This causes Harold to be full of giggles. The rain tickles Harold while it cleans him. There is a road in front of Harold that causes him to get very dusty so he always welcomes a nice shower. Harold has a beautiful porch that Mom likes to sit and drink her coffee on when it rains. She, like Harold, likes shower day. They both like to look for rainbows once the rain clears.

At bedtime, Harold loves to look at the stars. He tries to wish on shooting stars, but is sometimes so happy to have seen one, that he forgets to make a wish. That doesn't discourage Harold from looking for more though. It is one of his favorite things to do.

Harold wakes up in the mornings to the smell of coffee. Dad makes a fresh pot every day. Harold loves when Dad does lawn work. Especially the smell of fresh cut grass.

The little girl makes Harold smile. She sings and plays in her room. She is Harold's heart. One day, she will live here with her children and Harold will love them too. Harold wonders if they will also have a guinea pig. He enjoys listening to Hamilton 'meep' when Mom opens the refrigerator door.

Harold keeps his family safe inside. He loves his family so very much. Harold smiles while he listens to his family. They know that they are safe with Harold.

Harold is such a happy house, with a happy family and a happy guinea pig named Hamilton. His best friend Maggie is a happy house too. They live on a block of happy homes with happy animals and pretty, happy flowers.
