1.Choose the Right Location: Plant fruit trees in a sunny location, preferably with south-easterly exposure for maximum sun and warmth. Provide a well-drained soil in an open, airy area away from trees and shrubs that might shade and/or compete with them for water.

2. Prepare the Soil: Before planting, mix in several inches of organic matter such as compost and/or manure, as well as a balanced fertilizer appropriate for the type of tree you will be planting.

3. Plant the Tree Properly: Plant the tree at the same depth at which it was previously growing. If you are planting a bare-roo tree, remove all potting soil from the roots and spread out the roots before planting.

4. Water and Mulch: Provide a deep soaking and water regularly throughout the growing season. Mulch around the tree, but keep it away from the trunk.

5. Prune as Necessary: Prune young fruit trees lightly for the first two or three years to encourage growth in the desired direction.

6. Fertilize: Fertilize established fruit trees in late winter or early spring, using a fertilizer designed specifically for fruit trees. Follow the instructions on the package for application rates and timing...

.7. Control Pests and Diseases: Monitor your fruit tree for potential pests and diseases, and take appropriate action. Common problems include aphids, scale, blight and coddling moth.

8. Harvest the Fruit: Once your fruit trees reach maturity, expect to harvest a bounty of healthy fruit each year. Be sure to harvest the fruit at the right time and follow proper storage guidelines to enjoy it at its peak.

How to maintain fruits trees .......

1. Prune regularly: Pruning in winter will help maintain the shape of the tree and promote vigorous growth.

2. Water adequately: Make sure trees are getting plenty of water.

3. Fertilize: Apply fertilizer to give your tree a boost every spring.

4. Protect from pests: Use insecticides and fungicides to keep pests .away from your trees.

5. Mulch: Use organic mulch around the stem and roots of the tree to help retain moisture.

6. Remove dead branches: Prune dead branches from your tree to reduce stress and invite healthy new growth.

7. Be careful with chemicals: Try to use chemicals sparingly and follow the directions on the labels.
