Nowadays, we wonder how we can all participate in the celebrations we know and love with Christmas just around the corner without putting our families and friends and ourselves at risk.

It's crazy to realize that all those holiday gatherings that we once enjoyed today are tinged with a sense of worry. Would it be possible to have a happy Christmas when safety and health issues are at the center of everyone's minds?

The answer is yes, with the understanding that things aren't going to be the same as in past years. For a while, it might be necessary to avoid holiday traditions and instead set your eyes on planning Zoom gatherings and celebrations. To celebrate these holidays, we must aim to create our social bubble.

Winter Season Has Come

There is no question that the winter of 2020 will be more difficult to deal with. We've been doing almost all our activities from home for months, now that we come to winter we are used to working from home helping our children schooling online. Now that we will be on vacation together for a couple of weeks, we need to find activities that keep our family entertained indoors or outdoors but away from the crowds.

Enjoying fun winter activities with our little ones can be limited to certain hours, or maybe some days we can't even go out to our backyard since it's freezing outdoors.

Have Fun at Home

After months in front of a computer, I feel our kids will be ready to try out new games and things to do that don't include screen time. This time would be our opportunity to show them how to build stuff out of blankets and pillows or how fun and enjoyable it is to explore a hiking trail together.

Because whether your children are pre-school children or teens doesn't matter; they cherish every moment we spend as families. As a mom, I know how hard it is to pause and think about what we can do with our kids to have fun. So I hope that this list of indoor and outdoor safe activities that everyone can do this winter can inspire you because we're going to need that connectedness in these winter holidays.
