The Merc with a Mouth meets Earth's Mightiest Heroes? New leak hints at a wild #Avengers cameo in #Deadpool3. Who do you think it is?

Get ready for a powerhouse pairing this year from Marvel Studios! While they're keeping their release slate tight with just one movie, it's a doozy. A sneak look at "Deadpool and Wolverine" (previously known as Deadpool 3) was disclosed at CinemaCon, the National Association of Theatre Owners' exclusive industry occasion held in Las Vegas. The footage sent shockwaves through the crowd, featuring a surprising cameo from a heavy-hitting Avenger.

This exclusive glimpse at the upcoming film confirmed the return of Ryan Reynold's fan-favorite Deadpool, Wade Wilson, teaming up with Hugh Jackman's iconic Wolverine. CinemaCon attendees were treated to a scene that promised an explosive and hilarious adventure, complete with a surprise appearance from a major Avenger. With this jolting appearance, "Deadpool and Wolverine" is turning out to be an unquestionable necessity for Wonder fans.

A Glimpse of Deadpool & Wolverine: Thor Sheds (Archival) Tears at CinemaCon

CinemaCon 2024 buzzed with anticipation as Marvel Studios head honcho, Kevin Feige, unveiled a juicy snippet of the forthcoming Deadpool & Wolverine. This exclusive look offered a taste of the film's humor, and it did not disappoint. One particular scene featured a hilarious cameo from none other than Thor – albeit through the magic of repurposed footage from 2013's Thor: The Dark World.

The clip showcased the God of Thunder in a familiar pose: mourning over a seemingly lifeless body. This time, however, the object of his grief wasn't his mischievous brother, Loki. Instead, the camera panned to reveal the red and black clad Deadpool sprawled on the ground, eliciting chuckles from the CinemaCon audience. It appears to be the Merc with a Mouth's tricks have an approach to pulling at even the most emotionless Asgardian's heartstrings - as it were, obviously.

The sizzle reel for Deadpool & Wolverine throws a wild punch right out of the gate. In a chaotic, expletive-laced scene, Deadpool (presumably) bursts through the frame, grabs the audience's attention with a microphone, and delivers a hilarious, middle-finger salute to his former studio: "Later, Fox! See ya at Disneyland!"

We then catch a glimpse of Wade Wilson in a more mundane setting – a used car dealership. Here, he's slinging keys alongside his X-Force pal, Peter (played by the ever-quotable Rob Delaney). A locker room scene hints at a longing for the good ol' days. With Peter, Wade reminisces about their superheroing past. But when it comes to suiting up again, it's a clear-cut "Nope" from the Merc with a Mouth. Clearly, this ordinary life isn't quite cutting it for him.

Next up, we revisit the surprise birthday bash that made a splash in the Super Bowl trailer. The familiar faces from the first two Deadpool films are all there to celebrate – Vanessa, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and even Colossus, who seems to have developed a fondness for British baking shows.

Leslie Uggams' Blind Al joins the festivities too. Here, Deadpool throws in a playful fourth-wall break, warning her to steer clear of any cocaine jokes – apparently, those are a no-go in the new Feige-verse.

The party ends, and Wade returns to his apartment. But instead of post-birthday serenity, he gets a knock on the door that throws him for a loop. A squad of TVA agents, looking suspiciously like strippers in his mind's eye, stand before him.

The confusion doesn't end there. Cut to Wade facing off with Matthew Macfadyen's Mr. Paradox. We learn that the TVA, a sort of time-copping organization, has its sights set on Deadpool. Apparently, he's the unlikely hero chosen for a critical mission – one that could make or break the entire Sacred Timeline. Buckle up, because the Merc with a Mouth is about to embark on a whole new kind of adventure!

It dawns on Deadpool that he's being catapulted into the MCU. Monitors around him flicker with scenes ripped straight from the sprawling superhero franchise, and Wade can't help but geek out at the sight of Captain America in all his glory.

The TVA, it seems, has a knack for even the sartorial. Wilson emerges sporting a brand new suit, a far cry from his usual getup. They've even thrown in a pair of adamantium katanas for good measure.

The scene cuts, revealing Deadpool crammed in a car with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. Logan throws a questioning glance at Wade's flashy new threads. "Suit?" he asks, eyebrow raised. Ever the comedian, Deadpool fires back, "Friends don't let friends leave the house looking like a rejected Power Ranger," taking a playful jab at Logan's own new color scheme.

And as if on cue, the trailer throws in a cheeky wink to the audience. Will Deadpool's MCU adventure be riddled with "gratuitous cameos, " Wade ponders aloud, leaving us to wonder just who he might bump into on his wild ride.

More Marvel Mania: Who Else Might Join Deadpool and Wolverine's Wild Ride?

For over a year, whispers have been flying about surprise appearances by major Marvel movie stars in Deadpool & Wolverine. The buzz centers on characters from the 20th Century Fox X-Men films, before those rights returned to Marvel Studios.

The cameo floodgates have already opened in Deadpool 3. Hugh Jackman's return as Wolverine is a no-brainer, but set photos also revealed glimpses of Toad and Sabretooth from the original 2000 X-Men movie.

And let's not forget Aaron Stanford's Pyro getting his moment in the spotlight during the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer (check out a full breakdown of confirmed and rumored characters here!).

With Deadpool himself promising "gratuitous cameos," the possibilities seem endless. Fan theories about Cyclops, Storm, and Professor X joining the fray are swirling, but Marvel Studios is keeping their lips sealed for now.

One thing's for sure, though: despite the potential for cameo chaos, the core story remains centered on the dynamic duo themselves – the Merc with a Mouth and the Ol' Canucklehead.

Witness the Merc with a Mouth unleashed (and maybe a surprise friend) in the official Deadpool 3 trailer!
