Birthday

It was a bright, warm, sunny day. Molly Bobby, and her family, were up early. The Bobby family includes the parents, Linda and Larry, who were photographers, and Molly's twin brother, Mark.

Today was the twins' birthday. The mom made bacon and eggs. Their favorite breakfast. The twins were too excited to eat. They ate what they could, drank their orange juice and got ready for their birthday trip. A shopping spree to a 4 story toy store.

They climbed into the old station wagon. They drove 30 minutes to the store and parked the car. They held hands in the parking lot, and entered the store .

The store was so spacious. Everywhere you looked there were a ton of toys. Molly saw a big teddy bear. She had to hug that bear. As she got up she didn't realize the bear was smiling and it was a magical bear. It comes to life when you touch him with love. The hug did it.

Molly stayed with the stuffed animals and her parents took Mark to the toy trucks and tractors. Mom said, "Molly, are you coming?"

"Oh, mom, I'm gonna stay here with dolls and stuffed animals." Molly replied.

Mom decided it was OK because she could still see Molly from the trucks and tractors toys, where Mark and Dad were.

As Mom turned her back, Molly noticed the big teddy bear was moving. She slowly walked over and said, "Are you a live teddy bear?”

"One of the best!'' Teddy said.

Molly said "this is the best birthday ever!!!" The bear looked a little sad. Molly asked, "Why do you look so sad?"

Teddy replied, "Well, I want a friend, and your hug brought me to life."

Molly said " It's my birthday. I will bring you to my house and we will be friends.” Teddy was happy. Molly ran and asked, “Can I please have the big stuffed bear?” Mom walked back to the stuffed animals and looked at the price tag. $50.00. "Molly." her mom said. "It's a little expensive, but it is your birthday. ''

"You can't put a price on friendship," Molly replied .

Her mom smiled but was not sure what Molly was saying. Her twin brother, Mark, picked out some video games. As the twin went to the check out, their parents continued to shop for extra presents, and other items for the party later.

On the way home, Molly introduced Teddy to everyone. Of course he wasn't talking. Molly wondered if she had imagined it.

When they arrived home, Molly took Teddy to her room, laid him on her bed, and gave him a hug.

"Hello, are we home?” Teddy asked.

Molly asked why he didn't talk in the car." Teddy explained, "Sorry. I am shy. I work better when people hug me.”

Molly said, "Okay, it's almost dinner time, and after dinner we are having donut unicorns for dessert.”

Teddy was super excited. Molly’s parents were watching from the doorway. They were astonished and amazed that the bear talked.

"Molly," her mom asked, "Your teddy talks?"

"Yes. He wants to be friends, and I bring him friendship and love.”

They all wanted to have pizza and wings for dinner, with the donut unicorns. The whole family enjoyed Teddy’s presence. They played games, played music, and danced.

Mark loved Teddy. They danced and laughed together. This was the best, most magical birthday ever. This will be a birthday the twins will always remember. They will have many more with Teddy, their new friend and family member.

At the end of the day, Teddy said, “Friendship is magical with you, Molly and Mark. Happy Birthday!
