A LOVELY LILLY ADVENTURE

Lilly was a happy puppy, a content dachshund. afe and well fed. If she were asked she would declare to all that she was the happiest little wiener pup ever! Whatever a wiener is? Although she missed her brothers and sisters terribly.

Lilly was a happy puppy, a content dachshund, safe and well fed. If she were asked she would declare to all that she was the happiest little wiener pup ever! Whatever a wiener is? Although she missed her brothers and sisters terribly.

Lilly had the best people for pets any puppy could ask for. Her people parents were kind and gentle. Not only that but her people parents had two little people puppies to play with. Sure they walked funny and did not have tails. They barked in a sing-song growl. Not simple to understand like real barking. For all that, she loved her people with her whole heart. Lilly sure was lucky!sing-song

Lilly had the best people for pets any puppy could ask for. Shawna(Mommy) and Bobby(Daddy) were wonderful puppy parents! Not only that but her people had two little people puppies to play with. Sure they walked funny and did not have tails. Poor people pets! They barked in a complicated sing-song growl. Not simple to understand like real barks. For all that, she loved her people with her whole heart. Lilly sure was lucky!

Lilly just wished she could be sure her people were as happy as she was. Without tails and with the odd barking they do, she still had a nagging doubt. She was pretty sure that when their odd flat mouth under a to small nose curled upwards meant her people were happy? But how to make sure? She tried asking many times, even once after it got dark and quiet. While her people were having there nap. She barked her question. "I love you mommy and daddy, are you as happy as me?" The only answer she could understand was her name being said, it being loudly yelled, over and over. Were they angry? Not at Lilly, It just can't be. Her people never got mad at her. Not once... well to be honest, maybe once(or twice.) It's not her fault they forgot perfectly good chew-chow in a flimsy bag, was it? Had she not liberated the food, who knows what mischief could have been unleashed? FOR SURE she has no idea how it ended up everywhere, sneaky squirrels!

The very next day, after a wonderful breakfast just laying there waiting for her. In a bowl that was all hers. Nobody but Lilly eats out of here bowl (she would let her people puppies though.) It was always that way, her people always remembered meal time. With a full belly, Lilly already bursting with energy went looking for her people puppies to play with. Using her perfect nose, she found her playmates in the backyard. The backyard? She must be mistaken, how could they play without Lilly? Impossible! No Way!

Rushing through her Lilly sized door, Lilly burst into the yard. She almost somersaulted in surprise. Her pets were slapping their paws together and against each other. How weird! How funny! They saw Lilly right away and sang her name. Phew, it must be ok. Just another incomprehensible people behaviour. As she ran up, they did that other really odd thing with the curved mouth, even showing their teeth! How scary making it sometimes made her wary. Long ago Lilly at first thought they wanted to fight. They never did, luckily. She could not hurt her people, no never! They only wanted to play. Her people can be so weird!

Lilly first made sure her puppy-pets were safe, began sniffing around for clues. Everything smelled just fine. Once though Lilly thought she smelled a different smell, a squirrel had dared run through her yard! She warned her pets over and over, but they didn't seem worried, so Lilly let it go, for now. Never trust a squirrel, Lilly was certain. Sneaky, fast and rude. Just once she would love to give that squirrel a piece of her mind!

Sitting down Lilly watched her people and there strange antics. They would sing- song more barks, then touch paws. Lilly didn't understand, but every time they touched paws it was so funny Lilly wagged her tail. After a few moments of the hilarious paw touching they noticed Lilly appreciating there antics with her tail wagging like crazy. All of a sudden they both got really excited, gabbling at each other in there non-bark voices. Soon enough she heard her name barked and went over hoping to see what was so exciting. At the same time they slapped paws together loud. Slap, so funny! Lilly rewarded her people with a big tail wag, her butt swaying side to side. Is this a new game? It sure is funny. Always a sure way to make Lilly happiest. HOLD ON!! Her pets are happy? They sure look like it! Excited now, Lilly was jumping with joy. In response the paw slapping got faster and louder, the singing barks were louder too. Her people pups were happy!

"If your happy and you know it, wag your tail!" CLAP, CLAP "If your happy and you know it, wag your tail!" CLAP, CLAP "If your happy and you know it, and you really want to show it, wag your tail!" CLAP, WAG-WAG "Wag your tail! "SLAP, clap "Wag, wag that tail!" SLAP, CLAP, WAG!

A lovely Lilly adventure….
