Whether your closet is small or you have so much space to put a walk in wardrobe, organising it properly is another thing. You might not know but you could be wasting so much space in your bedroom with all the clutter and unnecessary extra furniture that makes your space feel stuffy. But if you want great help for your closet organisation, here are a few ideas for you.

Keep it behind closed doors

Doesn't it look much better for your clothes to be behind closed doors than have it all hanging wide open? Most of the minimalist approach to interior designs these days encourage open clothing racks with baskets and small drawers for underwear pieces. That looks clean and very simple indeed. However, you can utilise more of your bedroom space and make everything look organised when you have a built in wardrobes Sydney. Built in wardrobes are so much better than the usual ones that we purchase and assemble because they can camouflage your walls. Also, built-ins are perfect for small spaces to keep all your clutters away than have all those additional furniture that takes up so much space.

Vacuum seal your bulky clothes

Are you familiar with vacuum seal storage bags? It is most popular to use when storing foods but they are also used for packing clothes when you have to travel and there's little space on your bag. Besides, they are also extremely useful for all your bulky winter clothes, bedsheets and duvets. So, if winter is already over, why not tuck your thick clothes away and place them in vacuum seal bags before piling them up in your closet. This is to help save space, as well as have them packed up nicely so they won't be crinkled too much or accumulate dust over the months that you won't be using them.

Get transparent shoeboxes

If you're an avid shoe collector or you just love them, taking extra care of each pair is not a question of how pricey that process would be. There are several ways of storing your shoes. You can get a shoe rack or just pile them up in a corner, that's your choice. But both would take up so much space, could clutter your area and make them accumulate dust, dirt, or worse, mould. The best way to do it without having to worry about deforming your lovely shoes would be by getting transparent shoe boxes. If you still have extra space in your closet, you can pile them up on one side. Picking your pairs for the day would not also be a problem as you can see through all of each box. Getting them out of the box is easy too because of the small opening at the front of each shoebox. Before placing them inside, just make sure to at least wipe your shoes to make sure it's clean. Never store a wet or dirty shoe.

Use over the door organisers

One space in your closet that you could be ignoring for a long time is the back of each door. You can hang storage organisers on every single one of them and dedicate that space to your scarves, belts, caps, small bags, and underwears - the small pieces of clothing only as to not bulk up that space. You can also place your accessories on it so as to not have them lying around elsewhere and possibly lose them in the process.

Make peace with baskets and bins

Dedicating spaces inside your closet for baskets and bins can make everything be organised. All of those pieces that you don't like to be just lying around each shelf can be stored inside the baskets. If you want to spot your things quite easily, then better get acrylic baskets instead. They help keep clutter at bay and make everything look uniform. But if you were to choose non-acrylic baskets, don't forget to label each one of them so you won't waste time looking for your things when you need them the most.

Invest in matching hangers

Matching hangers can do so much for you and not just about because it's aesthetically pleasing. You can assign each colour for every season and have your clothes organised easier because their hangers are quicker to spot than to rummage between all your hanging clothes and separate them one by one. Colour-coded hangers for every season can make your closet organisation easier for you.
