To work in the UK you need to get a work-related visa. This visa could be anyone from different types of work visas. Following are the two categories of work visas:

As the name suggests, these visas are valid for long terms. You should apply for a long-term visa if you manage to secure a stable job in the UK. Following are different types of long-term work visas:

1. Skilled worker visa

This visa permits you to come in or stay in the UK to work for a licensed employer in a qualified job. Most people coming to the UK for a job come through this visa. This visa took the place of a Tier 2 [general] work visa. Though, there is no upper limit for age in case of Tier 2 general visa.

This UK Work Permit permits qualified healthcare professionals to come and work in the UK for a qualified job with the National Health Services [NHS], an NHS supplier or with adult social care. The UK tier 2 visa [intra-company transfer] long-term staff visa, sometimes known as the intra-company transfer visa, has been superseded by this one.
