The Supreme Court has always had an important contribution in the judicial and constitutional system of India because it has always been the foremost for running the country's system smoothly and constitutionally, and the judges sitting in it have done their work sincerely and It would not be an exaggeration to say that 'this is India's greatest faith'.
Recently, Supreme Court judge Fali Nariman retired and CJI Ramana said on the event of this retirement – we have lost the lion protecting the judicial institution , Nariman, the second Fali in the Supreme Fort, who delivered the verdict in the Sabarimala case, retired on Thursday. CJI NV Ramana bid him farewell. In this ceremony, CJI Ramana said- With the retirement of Justice Nariman, we have lost a lion protecting the judicial institution. He has been one of the pillars of the existing judicial system. He is a principled person, committed to what is right. I am sure many more chapters will be written in his life. As per tradition, on the last day of the working day, Justice Nariman shared the bench with the CJI. The CJI said, “Justice Nariman is a storehouse of legal acumen. His retirement comes as a surprise. Is the age of such persons an appropriate criterion for deciding the period of retirement? of the Supreme Court

As a judge, he has disposed of about 13,565 cases. He was appointed senior advocate in 1993 at the age of just 37. For this the rules had to be changed. Earlier, the minimum age to become a senior advocate was fixed at 45 years.

During the farewell ceremony, CJI Ramana said about the supposedly easy life of the judges that we work even during the court holidays. do research. Write pending decisions. But when false narratives are created about the easy lives of judges, it's hard to swallow. There is another misconception in the minds of people that judges live in big bungalows, work only 10 to 4 and enjoy their holidays, but this is untrue.

Important decision given on section 66A of IT Act

Justice Nariman was one of the judges hearing the Sabarimala temple case in Kerala. This bench had ruled that women between the ages of 10 and 50 can enter the temple. According to tradition, women of this age group were prohibited from going. In 2015, the verdict was given in the Shreya Singhal case. In this, section 66 of the IT Act was abolished. Under this, the police could arrest anyone who made objectionable remarks on social media. Justice Nariman has been involved in decisions involving Section 377, Bankruptcy and Checkup Code and making public 4 criminal records of politicians. Supreme Court Advocate on record. He is the person who said that Justice Nariman did not delay justice. They used to hear it within two or three days of reserving the verdict.

In the end, it can be said that Justice Nariman as soon as Justice contributes in maintaining and maintaining the constitutional system of this country.
We hope that Justice Nariman will be an inspiration to the coming justices and their decisions will form a strong foundation.
