WBJEE JELET Exam Dates 2025:

The West Bengal Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry Test (JELET) 2025 is one of the most significant exams for diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates who aspire to gain lateral entry into the second year of engineering, technology, and pharmacy programs offered by colleges and universities in West Bengal. Conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB), this examination helps candidates secure direct admission into the third semester of various professional courses. Understanding the complete timeline of the JELET 2025 exam — including application dates, exam day, result announcements, and counselling schedules — is crucial for all aspirants preparing to take this competitive test.

As per the official announcement, the JELET 2025 exam date is scheduled for June 15, 2025 (Sunday). This offline (pen-and-paper) examination will be held across various designated centers in West Bengal. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions based on the diploma or B.Sc. curriculum and is aimed at testing the candidate’s core subject knowledge, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills. The WBJEEB recommends that students stay regularly updated by visiting their official website to avoid missing any crucial changes or announcements related to the exam schedule.

The application process for WBJEE JELET 2025 is expected to begin in April 2025. During this period, candidates must complete their online registration, upload necessary documents, and pay the application fee. The application form will be available only on the official WBJEEB website. Candidates are advised to fill in all details carefully, as incorrect or incomplete applications may lead to disqualification. A correction window will be open in May 2025, allowing applicants to make any necessary modifications to their submitted form, such as updating personal information, correcting uploaded documents, or changing examination centers.

Once the application process is complete, candidates can download their JELET 2025 admit cards, which are expected to be released in early June 2025. The admit card is a mandatory document and will include important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center address, reporting time, and instructions to be followed on exam day. Without a valid admit card and proper identification proof, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Therefore, it is advised to keep a printed copy of the admit card and carry a government-issued photo ID on the exam day.

After the exam is conducted, the preliminary answer key will be released by WBJEEB, tentatively in July 2025. This provisional answer key allows candidates to calculate their estimated scores and raise objections if they find any discrepancies. The board will review all valid challenges and publish the final answer key along with the JELET 2025 results, which are expected in August 2025. The result will display the total score and the candidate's rank, which plays a critical role in the next phase — counselling and seat allocation.

The counselling process for JELET 2025 is anticipated to start in September 2025. It is a centralized, online process where qualified candidates can register, fill in their choice of colleges and branches, and participate in seat allotment rounds based on their rank and category. Multiple rounds of counselling may be held depending on the number of seats and participating candidates. Once allotted a seat, candidates must report to the designated institute for document verification and admission confirmation by paying the required fees. It is essential to regularly monitor the counselling portal to track deadlines and updates during this phase.
