This is Why You’re Inferior if You Want Equality

“No one is more inferior than those who insist on being equal” — Nietzsche

The title sounds blunt, and the quote reinforces it, but it’s true!

This applies to writing, especially on Medium.

I have seen countless articles around Medium complaining out of pure jealousy, stuff like:

Medium just pays the favorites;

Writers are being stolen from;

I write every day, yet I get $20;

…and so on.

The amount of saltiness on Medium is crazy, and the amount of jealousy easily tops that.

Why are you still writing if you don’t believe the platform or its fairness?

If you get paid so low, why don’t you write somewhere you make more?

The truth:

These people are not good enough OR refuse to take responsibility.

Stop making yourself look petty and jealous; it won’t help you get paid more and certainly won’t help you grow.

Sure, you can attract 10 more followers who also feel jealous and pissed off — but those followers are worth very little too, since they obviously are, like Nietzsche says, inferior!

Have a Spine: Know Your Worth, Chase Success!

If you’re one of these whiners, it’s not too late to change your ways and embrace accountability.

If you want to make money writing and if you want to increase either your writing earnings or following, then you need to be accountable anyways!

If you’re not getting the results you want, there are only 3 possible reasons for it:

You’re not working hard enough;

You’re not working smart enough;

You’re not working for long enough.

Only three things are required for success:

Work

Intelligence

Time

…and you can skip intelligence and still be successful if you have the other two, as you probably may know by now.

Discipline is key, working day in and day out on the same thing for as long as it takes to be successful is the recipe everyone experiencing success has adopted.

You need to be sober enough to see this if you want to get to the top.

It’s not on others or on the system, it is on you.

If you want others to be on your level or if you keep comparing your results with people who either work smarter, harder, or for longer, then you are inferior.

You’re certainly inferior to them.

Those who are superior don’t ask for equality…

Those who are equal don’t ask for equality…

Only those who are inferior do.

Don’t be inferior.

Learn to Cherish Tough Love: I’m Doing This For Your Own Good!

There’s a reason why tough-love influencers are getting bigger with each passing day — people are discovering that in a world that caters to you and your safe spaces, reading or listening to some harsh truths every now and then increases your chances to succeed.

Learn to value tough love!

When I’m telling you that if you’re a whiner for “equality” you’re inferior, is because I care about you and want to see you succeed.

But…

To succeed you need to change your mindset.

My biggest tip:

Never complain about being below others, you’re only highlighting your inferiority!

When you get the urge to complain about someone earning “underserved success”, collect yourself, dust yourself out and keep grinding.

You’ll never make it if you blame the circumstances or the platforms.

It’s all about discipline and how you take responsibility for the way you work, being it hard, lazy, smart, dumb, consistently, or not.

Embrace success by accepting you’ll NEVER be as successful as you wanted, and that’s okay — we’re built to always aim higher.
