Title of the Story : The Power of Patience ⏳

Story Duration: 10 minute

Genre: Wisdom Story 📜

Water Woes in the African Village 💧🌍

In an African village, people were facing hard times because they didn’t have enough water according to their population. The villagers, suffering from water shortage, called Simber, a hardworking man from the city, to dig a well 💧. Everyone hoped that he would be able to find water from the ground and make their lives easier, as was Sim’s specialty. He started digging with all his strength, but when he dug 100 ft deep, there was no water. Feeling a little worried, he talked to Village Elder Kofi and said, “Sir, I am not getting water here. I should try some other place; maybe I will get water there.” Kofi, wanting to solve the water issue, agreed, “Sure, Simber, you can try a different place.”

Simber’s Struggle and Second Chances

After that, Simber dug a 130 ft deep pit at another place but still unable to find water. Disappointed, he thought of giving up. Simber said, “I tried at two places; still no water found. Maybe there’s no water here. I should stop trying,” and he said to Kofi, “There is no water here, so why should I work unnecessarily? What’s the use of working so unnecessarily?” But Kofi was not ready to accept defeat. He called another person, Jummer, to try for the third position.

Jummer’s Perseverance Pays Off 💪🏆

Jummer was not as hardworking as Simber, but he never gave up. Jummer started digging, and he dug for 100 ft, found nothing but kept digging. Found nothing at 120 ft, still kept digging, found nothing till 140 ft, and finally dug a hole of 160 ft, and he really found water. He said in excitement, “I found it!” Excited, Jummer shares the good news with Kofi, who was pleased and praises Jummer for his patience and hard work 🎉. Kofi said, “Well done, Jummer! Your effort was successful. Please take this reward,” and Kofi gave him some money 💰.

Recognition and Reward for Jummer’s Success 🏅👏

To Jummer, he said, “Son, this reward is for your success.” Looking back, Simber had dug a total of 230 feet at two different places but couldn’t find water. Jummer, on the other hand, achieved success by patiently digging 160 ft at just one spot. Simber’s incomplete and changing plans led to his failure, whereas Jummer, being patient, continued digging at the same place and succeeded.

Lessons Learned from Simber and Jummer’s Endeavors 📚🐾

If we look into our lives, we often don’t do one task with full dedication and start losing our patience. Leaving the first task incomplete, we start the second one, and second to third, and this cycle continues. What happens is that we have to work double and triple times hard, unable to achieve success. Our morale drops rapidly, and ultimately, our patience gives way. Working hard in the wrong direction never leads to success. To be successful, you need to work with patience and dedication in the right direction. Victory only comes in life when you have patience and stay on your chosen but right path 🏆.

Moral of the story 🌟

The moral of the story is that patience and perseverance lead to success. Simber’s hasty attempts and lack of patience resulted in failure, while Jummer’s persistence and dedication eventually led to finding water. Through their experiences, we learn that rushing and changing plans hastily can hinder progress, while staying focused and patient in pursuing a goal increases the likelihood of success. In life, it’s essential to remain steadfast in our efforts, even when faced with challenges or setbacks, as success often requires patience and unwavering determination. 🌟💪🏽🌊
