THE IMAPACT OF AI (artificial intelligence) ON THE SOCIETY AI has impacted a lot on the society both positively and negatively. But the positive parts are the most. Listed below are some of the impacts both positive and negative Inrease in Productivity My businesses and industries are trying to improve their productivitylevels. Artificial intelligence has made it possible for many tasks to be taken out of employee’s hands, by making them spend more time in doing what was effective. Less Human Risks There are times when people do risk their lives in performing a task. Now, such risks can be avoided by the introduction and use of AI robots to do the perilous jobs for us. The jobs can be going to space, exploring places on earth, and work in mining caves. Reduction in Human Errors In life, all humans are tending to make mistakes. However computers do not when well programmed. Artificial intelligence devices tend to perform a task after gathering data from a set of algorithms. With this errors are tend to reduce and the possibility of tasks being accurate and precise are high. Loss of Jobs to Machines (Increase in Unemployment) Many concerns of people in the society is that with the rise of artificial intelligence, many jobs that are characterized by a set of routine will be automated. The more jobs that get automated the more people will lose their jobs .although many will see it as the negative side of AI, it isn’t. The more routine jobs are automated the more people get to chance to assume roles or jobs that are more strategic, administrative and important. Increase in Laziness of People Artificial intelligence devices has increase the percentage of laziness of people by over depending on AI devices or robots to carry out their jobs or tasks for them without them doing anything all day. Such tasks are minimal that can be done by them within a short period of time. Lack of Privacy The future of privacy is threatened. Although AI has made it easy to access information easily without stress and at maximum speed. But where does this information comes from? Many tech products collect and stores data of its users and make it vulnerable to AI data exploitation. Many people aren’t even aware of the amount of data their devices generate and share and therefore, making them prone to exploitation. Which can also be used to track, identify and monitor people in real time? Algorithmic Bias Many lay people make the mistake of thinking technology is value neutral, but algorithmic bias is an example of how technology can perpetuate human prejudice and inaccurate data. Algorithms are only as smart as the data we train them on. Intellectual property Intellectual property law presents a variety of ethical issues to the digital world. In the age of information, intellectual property has become murky. Many people regularly use the internet to share music and media freely, sometimes incorporating others' creations as part of their own. This controversy also applies to computer science. Code and algorithms can be considered intellectual property, and using code or algorithms developed by others without giving credit pushes the boundaries of IP law and ethics. Hacking Hacking is the practice of exploiting vulnerabilities in digital security systems in order to unlawfully gain access to information. Hackers can pose a serious threat to companies, financial institutions, and even government agencies, especially when matters of national security are at risk. "Ethical hacking" usually refers to the cyber security practice of testing digital security systems for vulnerabilities to find out how to fortify them better against hackers. However, some would even argue that illegal hacking can be used ethically to expose corporate or government corruption.
