Have you ever wondered how would the world be if all the insects and bugs suddenly vanished. At first , picnics would become more pleasant, as would gardening. Nighttime naps under your favorite tree, Rain would become more enjoyable. Would the planet be the best place without these insects? Do these tiny beasts contribute to anything else other than Malaria and Leishmaniasis.

To your utter surprise, insects are just as important to our world as humans are. We could not survive in this world without insects. But before we discuss that possible disaster caused by these creatures , let's examine why these animals have such a negative reputation. As we envision this scenario, it's crucial to recognize the profound role insects play in our world.

Imagine waking up one day to find the world eerily silent ,devoid of the gentle hum of the bees busy at work, the chirping of the crickets in the night ,with the butterflies buzzing around the garden. It's not just a matter of missing the sounds and sights of nature, We are all sustained by the unraveling of the complex fabric of life.

How Serious Their Absence Could Be ?

If all the insects were drooped on a scale , they could easily outweigh 300 times more than the humans combined . Farmers might be the first one to celebrate because they do not have to put in extra cash to buy chemicals such as pesticides and insecticides to save their harvest from the ravenous pests. But this celebration would not last for longer. Soon enough, you and all your fellow humans would be starving.

Role of insects in a food web: Insects are the ones to hold this chain together. They are a source of food for reptiles , amphibians , and frogs. If all the insects disappear , those animals would be perished. The animals feeding reptiles and frogs would be the next to become extinct. Nature feeds no favorites. Therefore, this disruption would eventually reach the human race.

Could the humans survive by going vegan: Do you think you could survive by going vegan . You're wrong . Approximately 80% of the plant life is made up of flowering plants, because they require pollination to reproduce. Insects are the game changers who make this happen, by physically transferring pollen from a male anther to a female stigma .

Benefits of insects to the world:

Food: Honey that is consumed by many humans is on the top of the list products that is made by insects. In the US , some insects are consumed as novelty foods , while there are some other societies that use beetle grubs and other insects commonly as food.

Silk: The cocoons of the Bombyx mori silkworm are used to make silk. Lac is a vital part of varnishes, printing inks, insulators, and floor and shoe polishes. This product, which is primarily made in India, is made from the Lac Scale bug, Laccifer lacca. In contrast, Britain imports one million pounds' worth of beeswax yearly to serve as the foundation for wax-based cosmetics such as candles, creams, lipsticks, ointments, polishes, and lipsticks.
